The arrangement includes a support structure configured to hold an image detector at a first end and an X-ray source at a second end, with a connection line in between on which an Iso-centre is located. The support structure connects to a primary supporting beam in a first pivotable connection point; the primary supporting beam connects to a secondary supporting beam in a second pivotable connection point; and the secondary supporting beam connects to a mounting arrangement in a third pivotable connection point. A rhombus shape is defined by: (i) a connection line between the first and second pivotable connection points; (ii) a connection line between the second and third pivotable connection points; (iii) a connection line between the third pivotable connection point and the Iso-centre; and (iv) a connection line between the Iso-centre and the first pivotable connection point.
MEDICAL VEHICLES, CT DEVICES, AND DRIVING METHOD
A vehicle includes a computed tomographic system (CT) including a CT gantry having an inner peripheral, and a subject window in a surface of the vehicle. The subject window is configured to be exposed to an exterior of the vehicle via a side face of the vehicle, such that the subject window is configured to enable a subject to enter or exit from the inner peripheral of the CT gantry in a body axis direction of the CT.
Fast 3D Radiography with Multiple Pulsed X-ray Sources by Deflecting Tube Electron Beam using Electro-Magnetic Field
An X-ray imaging system using multiple pulsed X-ray sources to perform highly efficient and ultrafast 3D radiography is presented. There are multiple pulsed X-ray sources mounted on a structure in motion to form an array of sources. The multiple X-ray sources move simultaneously relative to an object on a pre-defined arc track at a constant speed as a group. Electron beam inside each individual X-ray tube is deflected by magnetic or electrical field to move focal spot a small distance. When focal spot of an X-ray tube beam has a speed that is equal to group speed but with opposite moving direction, the X-ray source and X-ray flat panel detector are activated through an external exposure control unit so that source tube stay momentarily standstill equivalently. 3D scan can cover much wider sweep angle in much shorter time and image analysis can also be done in real-time.
COMPUTER TOMOGRAPHY APPARATUS
An imaging apparatus for use with an imaging device in order to image a subject. The imaging device includes an annular gantry having an opening and a table to accommodate the subject or a portion thereof for imaging. The imaging apparatus includes a platform and a positioning device. The imaging device is mounted to the platform. The annular gantry is in a fixed position relative to the platform. The table is horizontally displaceable relative to the annular gantry. The positioning device supports the platform and is configured to horizontally displace the platform relative to a supporting surface for the subject. The positioning device is configured to position the platform with the imaging device in at least one operational state in such a way that, during a relative movement of the table with respect to the annular gantry, the table remains stationary relative to the supporting surface.
X-RAY DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS AND MEDICAL COUCH APPARATUS
An X-ray diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes a couchtop, an irradiation unit, a support member, a first opening, and an X-ray detector. The couchtop is a component on which a subject is placed. The irradiation unit outputs X-rays from above the subject. The support member supports both ends of the couchtop in the lateral direction from below and forms a gap between the support member and the couchtop in a center part corresponding to an area excluding both ends. The first opening is formed at either one or both of the ends of the couchtop in the longitudinal direction and is accessible to the gap. The X-ray detector is provided in the gap through the first opening and detects the X-rays.

System and method of image improvement for multiple pulsed X-ray source-in-motion tomosynthesis apparatus using electrocardiogram synchronization
A system and method for improved image acquisition of multiple pulsed X-ray source-in-motion tomosynthesis imaging apparatus by generating the electrocardiogram (ECG) waveform data using an ECG device. Once a representative cardiac cycle is determined, system will acquire images only at rest period of heart beat. Real time ECG waveform is used as ECG synchronization for image improvement. The imaging apparatus avoids ECG peak pulse for better chest, lung and breast imaging under influence of cardiac periodical motion. As a result, smoother data acquisition, much higher data quality can be achieved. The multiple pulsed X-ray source-in-motion tomosynthesis machine is with distributed multiple X-ray sources that is spanned at wide scan angle. At rest period of one heartbeat, multiple X-ray exposures are acquired from X-ray sources at different angles. The machine itself has capability to acquire as many as 60 actual projection images within about two seconds.
