The computer comprises a mapping software operable to map an image file to the projection surface. The one or more projectors are operable to project the mapped image file on the projection surface.

The local terminal includes an image presentation device, an application-specific integrated circuit (“ASIC”), and a terminal application in communication with the ASIC. The terminal application is configured to initiate a verification task, via the ASIC, pertaining to an operating condition of the image presentation device and to communicate a verification report about a result of the verification task to a remote host. A system provides a mechanism to remotely monitor and calibrate medical imaging image presentation device and diagnosis devices to certify diagnosis quality and retain trustworthy data for legal compliance.

Sterile barriers for medical devices

Sterile barriers or sterile drapes that can be used with medical devices, including hand-held or self-supported X-ray equipment, are described in this application. In particular, this application describes sterile drapes that can be used with a medical device, the drape comprising a closed end portion, a middle portion with a size sufficient to enclose a part of the medical device being used near a patient, and an open end portion, the end portion configured to be closed by a user once the middle portion encloses the part of the medical device being used near a patient, wherein the sterile drape creates a sterile barrier around substantially the entire medical device once the open end is closed. Using the sterile drape allows the medical device, such as a hand-held or self-supported X-ray device, to be used in a medical procedure that requires a sterile field near the patient without disrupting that sterile field. Patient display system for a medical imaging or radiotherapy apparatus

A medical imaging and/or radiotherapy apparatus incorporates a display for projecting a visible image to a patient lying on a patient table. A projector that projects the visible image moves in tandem with the patient table, so that it appears relatively motionless to the patient. In exemplary embodiments, the projector projects the visible image within a patient tunnel of the medical apparatus, including in some embodiments, an extended field of view medical imaging apparatus. In other exemplary embodiments, the projector projects the visible image on a screen above the patient table of a tunnel-less medical apparatus. The projector remains outside the imaging line of response of detectors within the imaging field or outside of the radiotherapy beam zone, to avoid potential degradation of the captured diagnostic image or degradation of the radiotherapy beam.
