SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PLANNING A PATIENT-SPECIFIC SPINAL CORRECTION
20220409279 · 2022-12-29 · ·

Systems and methods are provided to plan a spinal correction surgery. The method includes measuring parameters of a spine in a two-dimensional (2D) spinal image including a thoracic Cobb angle and a thoracic kyphosis (TK) and transforming the 2D image to a three-dimensional (3D), spinal image representation. The transforming includes performing segmentation of spine elements in the 2D image, and applying a formula based on the thoracic Cobb angle and the TK to the spine elements. The method includes identifying a TK goal having a post-operative TK value to selected spine elements, transforming a gap of the spine elements representative of a difference between the pre-operative TK in 3D spinal image representation and the TK goal to create a 3D post-operative spinal image representation, and determining a first rod design based on the 3D post-operative spinal image representation to achieve the post-operative TK value in the spine elements.

Case display apparatus, case displaying method, and storage medium background to seamlessly present diagnostic images captured at different times for comparative reading

A user input obtainer receives an image movement instruction including identification information specifying a position shift or an image capture time shift to be performed and also including a displacement amount. When the identification information specifies the position shift, a slice position selector determines a tomographic image at a destination of the position shift based on the displacement amount from a set of tomographic images captured at the same time. On the other hand, when the identification information specifies the image capture time shift, the image capture time selector determines a tomographic image at a destination of the shift based on the displacement amount from sets of tomographic images that are identical to each other in terms of a patient, an examination portion, and a modality. A displaying image obtainer reads out the determined tomographic image from an image storage device and gives it to a display information generator.

Systems and methods for intra-operative image analysis

A system and method for analyzing images to optimize orthopedic functionality at a site within a patient, including obtaining at least a first, reference image of the site, or a corresponding contralateral site, the first image including at least a first anatomical region or a corresponding anatomical region. At least a second, intra-operative results image of the site is obtained. At least one point is selected to serve as a reference for both images during analysis including at least one of scaling, calculations, and image comparisons.

METHOD FOR VISUAL SUPPORT IN NAVIGATION AND SYSTEM

A medical image processing apparatus and a medical image processing method are provided which are capable of clearly presenting a distal end of a medical device in a tomosynthesis image of an object under examination into which the medical device is inserted. The medical image processing apparatus handles a tomosynthesis image generated using a plurality of projection images obtained by imaging an object under examination in an angle range of less than 180 degrees, and includes: a storage section for pre-storing blur data at individual imaging space coordinates; and a correction section for correcting the tomosynthesis image using the blur data.

Breast Calcification Imaging Phantoms and Methods of Use

A radiographic phantom comprises: a body comprising a wax material or a wax-like material, wherein the body has an x-ray attenuation value that is approximately the same as that of a human tissue; and a plurality of crystalline test objects positioned on or within the body. A method comprises: obtaining a radiographic phantom comprising a body and a plurality of crystalline test objects positioned on or within the body, wherein the body comprises a wax material or a wax-like material, and wherein the body has an x-ray attenuation value that is approximately the same as that of a human breast tissue; performing an operation of the radiographic phantom and using a device; and assessing a performance of the device based on the operation.

Information processing apparatus, program for operating information processing apparatus, method for operating information processing apparatus, and mammography apparatus

A control device of a mammography apparatus includes an acquisition unit that acquires a radiographic image as radiography information in a case in which the radiographic image of the breast is captured and a generation condition setting unit that sets generation conditions in a case in which an ultrasound image of the breast is generated, on the basis of the radiographic image acquired by the acquisition unit. The generation condition setting unit analyzes the radiographic image to detect the amount of mammary glands in the breast and sets, as the generation conditions, an amplification factor of an ultrasound image signal and a dynamic range which is a width of a grayscale value of the ultrasound image assigned to a value of the ultrasound image signal, according to the detected amount of mammary glands.
