ASSESSMENT OF MEASURED TOMOGRAPHIC DATA
Disclosed herein is a medical instrument (100, 300, 400, 500) comprising: a memory (110) storing machine executable instructions (120) and a tomographic data assessment module (122) and a processor (106) configured for controlling the medical instrument. Execution of the machine executable instructions causes the processor to receive (200) measured tomographic data (124). The measured tomographic data is configured for being reconstructed into a tomographic image (308) of a subject (418). Execution of the machine executable instructions further causes the processor to receive (202) an image quality indicator (126, 126′, 126″) by inputting the measured tomographic data into the tomographic data assessment module. The tomographic data assessment module is configured for generating the image quality indicator in response to inputting the measured tomographic data. Execution of the machine executable instructions further causes the processor to provide (204) the image quality indicator to an operator using an operator signaling system (108).
BONE AGE ESTIMATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
Disclosed are a bone age estimation method and a bone age estimation apparatus. The bone age estimation method may comprise the steps of: extracting a region of interest including a cervical spine region from a lateral cephalometric radiographic image obtained by imaging a subject's cervical spine, by using a first deep learning model; extracting landmarks from the extracted region of interest by using a second deep learning model; calculating a landmark numerical value on the basis of the extracted landmarks; and providing maturity information of a maturation stage of the cervical spine on the basis of the calculated landmark numerical value.
INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing system comprises: an information processor capable of transmitting and receiving data; and an estimation unit that estimates dental notations of teeth in each of visible light images and X-ray images of oral cavities input through the information processor and estimates image shooting direction of each of the visible light images and the X-ray images. The information processor adds the dental notations and the image sensing direction to each of the visible light images and the X-ray images as metadata, and manages the visible light images and the X-ray images by associating the visible light images and the X-ray images using the metadata.
Visualizing collimation errors
The field of view of an X-ray imaging system should be set appropriately to ensure that anatomical information of interest is not omitted. In particular, it is necessary to ensure that the operator of an X-ray system does not allow a patient to leave the X-ray imaging system until it is certain that the correct anatomy has been imaged. This application discusses a technique enable the visualization of a field of view boundary error caused by the incorrect configuration of an X-ray imaging system. Optionally, the boundary error is displayed either on a user display of a system console, or by projecting the field of view error onto the patient in the X-ray system. Thus, an operator of the system may be alerted to the presence of a boundary error, enabling a new X-ray exposure to be taken, if necessary.
Image processing apparatus, method, and program
A reconstruction unit generates a plurality of tomographic images representing a plurality of tomographic planes of a subject by reconstructing a plurality of projection images acquired by performing tomosynthesis imaging. A synthesis unit synthesizes the plurality of tomographic images to generate a composite two-dimensional image. A display control unit displays the composite two-dimensional image on a display, and in a case where one tissue of a first tissue and a second tissue that are present in the subject in association with each other is selected in the displayed composite two-dimensional image, emphasizes and displays the selected one tissue and the other tissue associated with the selected one tissue.
SYSTEM FOR IMAGE PROCESSING
The invention is directed to a system (100) for image processing, which is capable of improving an usability of an imaging device during an intervention.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING GUIDEWIRE
An electronic device includes a processor configured to generate a position movement prediction field indicating prediction of a potential positional change of a branch path by a patient's biological activity for one or more branch paths based on a blood vessel image of a reference frame, correct guidewire information extracted from a blood vessel image of a target frame with respect to a catheter position of the reference frame, and select a branch path to dispose the guidewire information, among one or more branch paths of a blood vessel region based on the position movement prediction field and the corrected guidewire information; and a display configured to visualize the guidewire information on the selected branch path.
MEDICAL INFORMATION DISPLAY APPARATUS, MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, MEDICAL INFORMATION DISPLAY METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT
A medical information display apparatus according to an embodiment includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to display information on the basis of volume data including at least a lung. The processing circuitry is configured to display a first index value based on an anatomical structure of the lung and a second index value based on the volume data related to the lung, so as to be kept in correspondence with each other.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR QUANTIFYING SIZE OF TISSUE OF INTEREST OF ANIMAL BY USING X-RAY IMAGE OF ANIMAL
A method of quantifying a size of a tissue of interest in a animal through a device including a storage, an image processor, and a display by using an X-ray image of the animal is proposed. The proposed method may include storing the X-ray image in the storage, displaying the X-ray image on the display, performing, by the image processor, processes of (i) calculating a reference value for a length of a reference tissue of the animal displayed on the X-ray image, (ii) calculating a value of a length in at least one specific direction of the tissue of interest of the animal displayed on the X-ray image, and (iii) quantifying the size of the tissue of interest as a ratio of the value of the length to the reference value, and displaying the quantified size of the tissue of interest on the display.
