FEEDBACK FOR PROVIDING ARTIFICIAL BONE FLAP
Methods and systems for providing feedback to guide selection of an artificial bone flap. A user interface for planning a neurosurgical procedure is provided, the neurosurgical procedure including closing of an opening in a portion of a patient's skull using an artificial bone flap. 3D dimensions of the opening are determined using at least pre-operative three-dimensional (3D) imaging data. One or more parameters for selecting an artificial bone flap are determined, where the one or more parameters are based on at least the 3D dimensions of the opening. Output indicating one or more recommended available artificial bone flaps suitable for closing the opening is provided, the recommendation being based on the determined one or more parameters.
Medical image processing apparatus and medical image processing method
According to one embodiment, a medical image processing apparatus includes an image storage memory, a calculation circuitry, a level decision circuitry, and an output interface circuitry. The image storage memory stores data of a plurality of images in different respiratory phases. The calculation circuitry calculates a motion amount of a region between the plurality of images for each pixel or area. The level decision circuitry decides a level concerning a severity of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for each pixel or area. The output interface circuitry outputs information concerning the decided level.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR IMAGE REGISTRATION, AND A NONTRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
A first registration unit performs first registration between a live view and an associated image associated with an object to be imaged. A second registration unit performs second registration between the object captured in the live view and the associated image based on the result of the first registration. At least while the second registration is performed, a display control unit superimposes the associated image on the object captured in the live view, and displays an enlarged view of a partial region of the live view, on which the associated image is superimposed. The second registration unit performs the second registration using a region of the live view larger than the partial region while the enlarged view of the partial region of the live view is displayed.
MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, X-RAY DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS, AND MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
A medical information processing device according to an embodiment includes processing circuitry configured to acquire a plurality of X-ray images including a device inserted into a body of a subject, suppress movement of a characteristic portion characterized in a shape that is positioned distant from a distal end of the device among the X-ray images, and output the X-ray images in which movement of the characteristic portion is suppressed.
System and method for increasing the accuracy of a medical imaging device
A method for improving the accuracy of a digital medical model of a part of a patient, the method includes obtaining a set of at least 2 medical images of the patient, where an element including a predefined geometry and/or predefined information was attached to the patient during the recording of the medical images; obtaining at least 2 tracking images taken with at least one camera having a known positional relationship relative to the medical imaging device, the tracking images depicting at least part of the element; determining any movement of the element between acquisition of the at least 2 tracking images; and generating the digital medical model from the acquired medical images, wherein the determined movement of the element is used to compensate for any movement of the patient between the acquisition of the medical images.
Method of using an endentulous surgical guide
An approach is disclosed that involves creating an updated master dental model of a patient's mouth after an implant surgery by aligning new postoperative oral scan data to pre-existing preoperative oral scan data. Before surgery a multi-piece stackable surgical guide set is created using the preoperative oral scan data. The surgical guide set is used to facilitate the surgery. After the surgery at least one piece of the surgical guide set is placed back in a patient's mouth and acts as a reference marker because it was created using the preoperative oral scan data, but is also part of the postoperative mouth configuration since it was used to facilitate the surgery. The affected portion of the mouth is digitally scanned by way of a physical impression with the reference marker in place to determine the new characteristics resulting from the surgery such as new implant installation locations and orientations.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND COMPUTER-ACCESSIBLE MEDIUM FOR DIFFUSION IMAGING ACQUISITION AND ANALYSIS
Exemplary system, method and computer-accessible medium for determining a difference(s) between two sets of subjects, can be provided. Using such exemplary system, method and computer-accessible medium, it is possible to receive first imaging information related to a first set of subjects of the two sets of the subjects, receive second imaging information related to a second set of subjects of the two sets of subjects, generate third information by performing a decomposition procedure(s) on the first imaging information and the second information, and determine the difference(s) based on the third information.
Overlay Of Findings On Image Data
A framework for overlaying findings on image data is described herein. In accordance with one aspect, the framework extracts one or more findings from a radiology report, and detects one or more anatomical landmarks in image data corresponding to the radiology report. The one or more extracted findings are then correlated to, and overlaid with, the one or more detected anatomical landmarks on the image data.
RADIATION IMAGING SYSTEM, RADIATION IMAGING METHOD, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A radiation imaging system includes a first generation unit that generates, based on a first optical image of a subject acquired at a first time, a first processed image including at least one of information indicating a skeleton of the subject and information indicating a joint angle of the subject related to the first optical image, a second generation unit that generates, based on a second optical image of the subject acquired at a second time different from the first time, a second processed image including at least one of information indicating the skeleton of the subject and information indicating the joint angle of the subject related to the second optical image, and a display control unit that displays the first processed image and the second processed image in a superimposed manner on a display unit.
Medical apparatus and method for operating the medical apparatus
A medical apparatus is provided. The medical apparatus comprises an operating table provided with a base and a tabletop for supporting a patient, an x-ray detector attached to the operating table, and at least one x-ray source configured to be attached to the operating table in a manner so as to be movable with respect to the operating table.
