Methods and Apparatus Notifying a User of the Operating Condition of a Household Appliance
Sounds, alarms or other indications of conditions of potential interest that are produced by appliances and other household devices are detected by one or more sensors to trigger a notification signal that is sent to a remotely located user. The signals produced by the sensors are advantageously compared with a database of signals representing conditions of potential interest produced by known appliances and devices, producing the appropriate notification signal when a match is found. Notifications may be relayed to one or more selected users only when predetermined conditions are satisfied.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FAULT ANALYSIS AND PRIORITIZATION
Methods for system management and corresponding systems and computer-readable mediums. A method includes detecting, in the management system, a fault condition in a management system device during an analysis period. The method includes determining the duration of the fault condition in the management system device during the analysis period. The method includes determining a total duration of a system state during the analysis period in which the management system device could produce the fault condition. The method includes assigning a prioritization to the fault condition according to the duration of the fault condition and the total duration of the system state. The method includes storing the prioritization of the fault condition.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REMOTE ENDOSCOPY OF AN AIRCRAFT ENGINE
The invention relates to a device for aiding remote-diagnosis in the course of an endoscopy of an aircraft engine, comprising at least one endoscope used in situ by a first operator to capture images of said engine and to perform measurements, and at least one remote terminal used by at least one second operator to analyse said video images and to transmit a diagnosis to the operator.
The device according to the invention further comprises a wireless communication interface allowing the operator to exchange with the expert, in real time and interactively, the images captured and the results of the measurements performed.
Systems and methods for controller diagnostics and service
According to one aspect of this disclosure, a distributed control system may include a diagnostic engine, a plurality of computing resources generating diagnostic parameters for transmission to the diagnostic engine, a first communication link operatively coupling the plurality of computing resources to one another, a second communication link operatively coupling the plurality of computing resources to the diagnostic engine, and a remote connection operatively coupling the diagnostic engine to a remote computing resource. The diagnostic parameters may indicate one or more conditions for at least one of the plurality of computing resources. The diagnostic engine locally observes the diagnostic parameters of the plurality of computing resources via the first communication link, and the remote computing resource initiates operation of the diagnostic engine via the remote connection and evaluates the diagnostic parameters remotely.
