The programming sequence comprises instructions that are such as to apply (T) at least one single impulsive variation of a kinematic quantity that regards one or more actuators (101, 102, 104). The operation (1230) of processing the read-out signal (S) comprises processing a response of the machine tool (10, 100) to at least one single impulsive variation. The operation (1230) of processing the read-out signal (S) comprises artificial-neural-network processing (206) via one or more artificial neural networks (206, 2060) configured for analysing operating profiles in particular, one or more signals indicative of the status of the machine tool (W) in the read-out signal (S).

Methods and Systems for Recording Operating Information of an Electric Motor

A unit for recording operating information of an electronically commutated motor (ECM) is described. The unit includes a system controller communicatively coupled to an ECM. The system controller includes a processing device configured to control the unit. The unit also includes a memory device communicatively coupled to the system controller. The memory device is configured to receive and store ECM operating information provided by the processing device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTO-COMMISSIONING AND SELF-DIAGNOSTICS

A method for testing a cooling component in a building HVAC system uses a state-based testing procedure. The method includes providing a control signal to the cooling component. The control signal instructs the cooling component to activate. The method includes monitoring feedback from a temperature sensor configured to measure temperature affected by the cooling component and evaluating a state transition condition by comparing the feedback from the temperature sensor to a threshold value. The state transition condition is satisfied if the feedback is less than the threshold value and not satisfied if the feedback is not less than the threshold value. The method includes transitioning into a pass state in response to the feedback from the temperature sensor satisfying the state transition condition and transitioning into a fail state in response to the feedback from the temperature sensor not satisfying the state transition condition.

SYSTEMS FOR AND METHODS OF AUTOMATICALLY SCHEDULING AND EXECUTING IN SITU TESTS ON ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL SYSTEMS

A testing platform tests an electrical and mechanical system such as an HVAC unit according to an algorithm that reduces the total testing time of the components of the system, while ensuring the safety of the system during system-wide testing. The platform uses constraints that are checked both before and during the testing to ensure that HVAC operating conditions are acceptable for starting and maintaining component tests. Preferably, the platform uses finite-state machines for each device to organize the component tests, allowing for monitoring of constraints and starting, pausing, and stopping component tests. Preferably, total test execution time is reduced by running component tests in parallel, running component tests based on loads of the components, or combinations of both.

MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT DIAGNOSIS SUPPORT SYSTEM

A manufacturing equipment diagnosis support system includes: a data collector which collects and records respective data in plural apparatuses to be monitored provided in manufacturing equipment; a data analysis device; and a display. The data analysis device includes: a data analysis range setting unit which sets an analysis range of data, by an item of data and time period; a data grouping unit which classifies the data into a category based on specification and use condition of the apparatus to be monitored, and a category based on a physical quantity which the data shows, to group the data; a feature extracting unit which extracts a feature in each of the data items; an unusual phenomenon specifying unit which specifies an unusual phenomenon candidate item; and a testing unit which tests whether there is a significant difference or not between the unusual phenomenon candidate item and an other data item.

Systems and methods for auto-commissioning and self-diagnostics

Systems and methods for auto-commissioning and self-diagnostics of equipment in a building management system are provided. A self-testing module is implemented in a control unit of the building management system. The self-testing module exercises equipment of the building management system using a state-based testing procedure that differs from normal operation of the equipment and monitors feedback received from a sensor of the building management system in response to exercising the equipment. The self-testing module uses the feedback from the sensor to evaluate a state transition condition of the state-based testing procedure and to transition between states of the state-based testing procedure using a result of the evaluation.
