A body thickness conversion unit converts a body thickness from a distance image imaged by a distance measurement camera to acquire the body thickness. A setting unit sets a gradation transformation function for use in gradation transformation processing to a radiographic image corresponding to the body thickness. A radiographic image acquisition unit acquires the radiographic image output from a radiation detector in radioscopy. A gradation transformation processing unit starts the gradation transformation processing with the gradation transformation function set by the setting unit.

Method and system for validating parameters in a medical study

A method and system for validating a parameter in a medical study are disclosed. The method includes receiving the medical study from a source. A processor determines a first parameter of the medical study to be validated. An imaging protocol is received from a configuration file in an imaging unit. The imaging protocol includes a second parameter corresponding to the first parameter in the medical study. The processor determines if there is a mismatch of the first parameter in the medical study and the second parameter in the imaging protocol. If there is a mismatch, the processor corrects the first parameter in the medical study based on the second parameter in the imaging protocol to validate the medical study.

RADIOLOGICAL IMAGING METHOD

A radiological imaging method including: 2 radiation sources with imaging directions orthogonal to each other, performing vertical scanning of a standing patient along a vertical scanning direction, wherein the radiological method includes at least one operating mode in which: a frontal scout view is made so as to identify a specific bone(s) localization within the frontal scout view, both driving current intensity and voltage intensity modulations of the frontal radiation source, depending on patient thickness and on the identified specific bone(s) localization along the vertical scanning direction, are performed simultaneously, preferably synchronously, and automatically, so as to improve a compromise between: lowering the global radiation dose received by a patient during the vertical scanning, and increasing the local image contrasts of the identified specific bone(s) localization at different imaging positions along the vertical scanning direction, for the frontal image.

A radiographing control apparatus includes a hardware processor. A radiographic imaging apparatus is exposed to a radiation from an irradiating apparatus through the subject. The hardware processor retrieves pre-exposure image data which the radiographic imaging apparatus generates by performing a pre-exposure to the subject at a pre-exposure dose of less than a dose of a subsequent main exposure, and calculates a total dose required to obtain diagnostic image data to be used for diagnosis. The hardware processor outputs a main exposure dose based on the calculated total dose to the irradiating apparatus and the radiographic imaging apparatus. The hardware processor retrieves main exposure image data which the radiographic imaging apparatus generates by performing the main exposure to the subject at the main exposure dose, and combines the main exposure image data with the pre-exposure image data to generate the diagnostic image data.

An X-ray imaging method includes the following steps: (a) performing a first object imaging and obtaining a first object intensity signal by detecting an X-ray passing through a first object; (b) performing baseline imaging process, obtaining a baseline intensity signal by detecting the X-ray when the first object is not in a FOV; and; (c) obtaining the first thickness of the first object by performing operations on the first object intensity signal, the baseline intensity signal, and the first attenuation coefficient of the first object.

METHOD AND A SYSTEM FOR OBTAINING OPERATING PARAMETERS FOR X RAY DATA ACQUISITION

The invention concerns a method for obtaining operating parameters for x-ray imaging a patients maxillofacial region, the method comprising: —identifying a patients maxillofacial first region of interest ROI1, —determining a height of a horizontal plane of said patients maxillofacial first region of interest ROI1 when the patient is in an occlusion position or bites a patient positioning accessory, said horizontal plane passing through the teeth and the bones of the jaw, —acquiring through a slit-shaped collimator window a first set of data relative to said patients maxillofacial first region of interest ROI1 including the horizontal plane using x-ray CBCT imaging and a first x-ray dose, said first set of data being suitable for generating a CBCT slice, —reconstructing the CBCT slice comprising the horizontal plane based on the first set of data relative to the patients maxillofacial first region of interest ROI1, —obtaining operating parameters for an x-ray imaging apparatus based on the reconstructed CBCT slice in view of acquiring a second set of data of a patients maxillofacial second region of interest ROI2 using a second x-ray dose, the first x-ray dose being lower than the second x-ray dose.
