Global synchronization of user preferences
A robotic system includes a communication system coupled to communicate with one or more external devices that include first user preferences. The robotic system also includes memory storing a database including second user preferences. A controller is coupled to the user interface, the communication system, and the memory, and the controller includes logic that when executed by the controller causes the robotic system to perform operations. Operations may include retrieving the first user preferences using the communication system; retrieving the second user preferences from the database; resolving conflicts between the first user preferences and the second user preferences to create a final set of user preferences; and configuring the robotic system with the revised set of user preferences.
Gate control device, gate control method, and gate control program
In an embodiment, a gate control device includes a communication interface to receive first biometric information from a first gate device at an entrance and second biometric information from a second gate device at an exit. A storage unit stores the first biometric information. A processor is configured to cause the received first biometric information to be stored in the storage unit, transmit an opening instruction to the first gate device via the communication interface once the first biometric information has been stored in the storage unit, and, when the second biometric information is received via the communication interface, compare the second biometric information to the first biometric information stored in the storage unit to determine if the received second biometric information matches the stored first biometric information, then transmit an opening instruction to the second gate device if the received second biometric information matches the stored biometric information.
Personnel profiles and fingerprint authentication for configuration engineering and runtime applications
A system for validating a write command to a device in a process control system using biometric credentials and relationship attributes. A two user validation process may use biometric inputs of the two users to authenticate the two users and to query for associated profiles to determine whether the two users have a relationship required to release an intercepted write command to the device.
Remote fingerprinting sensor
A fingerprint sensor system and method is provided for enhancing biometric security. Fingerprints may be recorded according to a particular sequence and orientation. Fingerprint sequences may then be used to control the operation of devices, such as restricting content, or encrypting communications.

CONTROL DEVICE FOR MACHINE TOOL
A control device for a machine tool, the control device being provided with an individual database that stores voice data and image data for the face for each of a plurality of persons in association with the respective person's ID, an input command database that stores commands that can be inputted into a machine tool, an imaging device that images the face of a person, a microphone that inputs a voice, and a microprocessor that processes the image data for the face imaged by the imaging device and the voice data inputted from the microphone. The microprocessor performs facial authentication on the basis of the image data of the face, and performs voice authentication on the basis of voice data inputted from the microphone. If the voice is a voice produced by a facially authenticated person, the microprocessor analyzes voice data, searches the input command database on the basis of the analysis result, and inputs a command corresponding to the voice data into the machine tool.
NETWORK-CONTROLLABLE PHYSICAL RESOURCES FOR SENSORY SERVICE
Methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for adjusting a network-controllable physical resource of a sensory service in response to biometric data for a group of users are disclosed. In one example, a processing system including at least one processor may gather biometric data of each user of a group of users of a sensory service. The sensory service may comprise at least one network-controllable physical resource. The processing system may then aggregate the biometric data for the group of users and tailor the sensory service for the group of users based upon the biometric data for the group of users that is aggregated. In one example, the tailoring of the sensory service may include adjusting the at least one network-controllable physical resource in response to the biometric data that is aggregated for the group of users.

INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing includes a processor. The processor is configured to output an instruction for turning equipment on or off in response to acquiring first biological information from a user that corresponds to turning the equipment on or off, and output an instruction for setting a function level of the equipment according to second biological information from the user or environmental information that corresponds to a function level of the equipment in a case where the second biological information or the environmental information is acquired.
