The manufacturing machine includes a second operator identification information acquisition unit, a second operation permission/inhibition information storage unit, a second operator identification unit, and an operation unit for accepting the operation by the operator. The operation unit executes the operation determined to be executable by the first operator identification unit or the second operator identification unit.

GLOBAL SYNCHRONIZATION OF USER PREFERENCES

A robotic system includes a communication system coupled to communicate with one or more external devices that include first user preferences. The robotic system also includes memory storing a database including second user preferences. A controller is coupled to the user interface, the communication system, and the memory, and the controller includes logic that when executed by the controller causes the robotic system to perform operations. Operations may include retrieving the first user preferences using the communication system; retrieving the second user preferences from the database; resolving conflicts between the first user preferences and the second user preferences to create a final set of user preferences; and configuring the robotic system with the revised set of user preferences.

Controller

To provide a controller for reducing a burden to be imposed on an operator in applying force with a finger during operation on a machine tool or a robot, and for associating an operation history with identification information about the operator. A controller for a robot or a machine tool comprises a fingerprint detection unit and a control unit. The control unit comprises: a key information receiving part that receives input key information; a key information transmission part that transmits the input key information linked in advance with the fingerprint detection unit to the key information receiving part if an operator makes a finger touch the fingerprint detection unit; and an individual identification information specification part that specifies identification information about the operator based on fingerprint information about the finger having touched the fingerprint detection unit.

MACHINING CENTER NC OPERATING PANEL

A machining center NC operation panel is provided which can serve as a personal authentication system capable of simply and reliably identifying operators and implementing appropriate operational restrictions. The operation panel is provided with an imaging device mounted on its front or on a manual pulse generator for at-hand operation connected to the operation panel. In the operation panel: a storage unit stores an operator list allocated with work information prepared for each of the pre-registered operators, the work information including operations which the operators are respectively allowed to perform at a machine tool main body and restricted operations which the operators are not respectively allowed to perform, and a face image file holding a group of face image data on the operators registered in the operator list; and a control unit includes a face authentication processing unit which searches for and identifies an operator by checking operator face image data obtained from the imaging device against the group of face image data held in the face image file and a work information processing unit which obtains, from the operator list, work information associated with the identified operator and has, based on the obtained work information, a function of displaying work items the identified operator is allowed to perform in the display part.

NETWORK-CONTROLLABLE PHYSICAL RESOURCES FOR SENSORY SERVICE

Methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for adjusting a network-controllable physical resource of a sensory service in response to biometric data for a group of users are disclosed. In one example, a processing system including at least one processor may gather biometric data of each user of a group of users of a sensory service. The sensory service may comprise at least one network-controllable physical resource. The processing system may then aggregate the biometric data for the group of users and tailor the sensory service for the group of users based upon the biometric data for the group of users that is aggregated. In one example, the tailoring of the sensory service may include adjusting the at least one network-controllable physical resource in response to the biometric data that is aggregated for the group of users.

Scalable machine

A food processing machine, such as a filling machine and/or twisting line for the manufacture of foods, particularly sausages, and a corresponding operating method, having at least one function module and at least one control section for controlling the corresponding function modules. Through at least one activation device, and after the input of an access authorization, at least one function module can be activated and/or one performance range from a plurality of possible performance ranges of at least one function module can be activated.

Validating operator safety requirements

An opt-in from at least one user of a plurality of users associated with at least one tool of a plurality of tools is received. An authentication associated with a first opted-in user of the plurality of users associated with an access of a first tool of the plurality of tools is determined. A set of credentials required to operate the first tool associated with the first opted-in user is verified. A request to an Internet of things (IoT) receiver device is transmitted. A response from an IoT transmitter device is received. In response to determining that the first user is utilizing required equipment to operate the first tool, power to the first tool is supplied.
