Method Of Medical Imaging Using Multiple Arrays
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for visualizing a target anatomical site of a patient using one or more imagers. The method can include placing multiple imagers on multiple locations at an anatomical site. The method can further include generating separate image data sets from the multiple images and combining the image data sets to generate a volumetric imaging data of the anatomical site. The volumetric imaging data can include all anatomical features within the target anatomical site. A visualization system for medical imaging can include transducers on the imagers to visualize the target anatomical site. The system can further include a processor to combine the image data sets to generate the volumetric imaging data set. The system can further include a display device to display the volumetric imaging data set.
Anatomical Attachment Device and Associated Method of Use
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for inserting a needle and a method for cannulation of a blood vessel. The apparatus can include a targeting assembly to identify a target location and an insertion path for the needle. The apparatus can further include a frame and insertion assembly to hold and place the needle. A user interface can be provided to provide feedback to an operator. The apparatus can include an adjustable band that engages a body portion of the patient. The method can include placing and securing the frame to the body portion. The method can further include locating the target location and inserting the needle through a target area.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING BIO-INFORMATION, ULTRASONIC DEVICE, AND MOBILE DEVICE
An apparatus for estimating bio-information is provided. The apparatus includes: an ultrasound image acquirer configured to acquire ultrasound images of an object; a pressurizer configured to apply pressure to the object to occlude a blood vessel; and a processor configured to estimate a change in a diameter of the blood vessel using the ultrasound images acquired by the ultrasound image acquirer before and after an occlusion of the blood vessel, and estimate bio-information based on the estimated change in the diameter of the blood vessel.
Devices and methods for non-invasive capillary blood pressure measurement
Devices and methods for non-invasive capillary blood pressure measurement are provided. An device can comprise a front end in contact with the body to compress and decompress the capillaries in the tissue, a pressure control module for regulating the contact pressure between the front end and the tissue, a pressure transducer coupled to the front end for measuring the contact pressure, a capillary sensing module for detecting the capillaries pulsations under the contact pressure modulation, and an algorithm for determining the capillaries pressures from the traces of capillary pulsation signals and the contact pressure signal. The methods include an oscillometric method for intermittent arterial and capillary blood pressure measurement and a volume-clamp method for continuous capillary blood pressure measurement.
Wearable open and adjustable MRI head coil
A wearable, open and adjustable MRI head coil system having an assembly of support members, panels, or portions defining one or more access openings. The support members, panels, or portions can support, house, or otherwise include radiofrequency receiver antennae or imaging coils such that the assembly is positionable or wearable by a patient for MRI scanning. The radiofrequency receiver antennae or imaging coils, and other devices can be simultaneously in contact with a patient's head, thereby enabling use during diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, or other interventional procedures.
Devices, methods, systems, and computer program products for 4-dimensional ultrasound imaging
An ultrasound imaging system can include first and second ultrasound transducer arrays and a processor circuit, coupled to the first and second ultrasound transducer arrays. The processor circuit can be configured to generate separate first and second volumetric ultrasound image data sets using the first and second ultrasound transducer arrays respectively and configured to combine the separate first and second volumetric ultrasound image data sets to generate an integrated volumetric image.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR UTILIZING A SINGLE ULTRASOUND IMAGING DEVICE TO SIMULTANEOUSLY MEASURE A MATERNAL HEART RATE AND FETAL HEART RATES OF MULTIPLE FETUSES
An ultrasound system includes a single transducer. The single transducer includes a flexible substrate. The single transducer also includes an array of transducer elements disposed on the flexible substrate and configured to be disposed on an abdomen of a subject having one or more fetuses disposed within a single uterus and to acquire scan data. The ultrasound system also includes a processor coupled to the single transducer and configured to receive the scan data and to determine a respective fetal heart rate of each fetus of the one or more fetuses based on the scan data.
Motion Tracking System with Inertial-Based Sensing Units
Systems, apparatus, and method of monitoring a position of a joint. An inertial monitoring unit is configured to be coupled to a portion of a patient, such as a thigh. Another inertial monitoring unit is configured to be attached to another portion of the patient, such as a shank, that is connected to the other portion by a joint, such as a knee. The inertial monitoring units detect motion of their respective portions of the patient and transmit data indicative of this motion. These transmissions may be received by a computer and used to determine an orientation of the joint. The inertial monitoring units may also be coupled to vibration detection units and/or ultrasound modules that provide additional data regarding a condition of the joint.
Ultrasound probe and device for 3D imaging of the jaw
This invention concerns an ultrasonic dental imaging probe (1), typically comprising several transducers (4) arranged to operate as a transmitter and a receiver, and in particular arranged to transmit ultrasonic waves at a frequency of at least 10 MHz, and optionally several transducers (4) arranged to operate as a transmitter and a receiver and arranged to transmit ultrasonic waves at a frequency of less than 4 MHz. The transducers are mounted on a flexible support (3), secured to a rigid frame (2) typically in a “U” shape. The invention also concerns a device comprising one such probe.
Noninvasive fluid and electrolyte balance monitor
Systems and methods for the assessment of fluid content and electrolyte balance in patients are provided. The systems generally include two or more ultrasound transducers and may include impedance-sensing electrodes as well. These elements are positioned about a soft tissue of a patient by means of a retention element.
