ULTRASOUND DEVICES FOR ESTIMATING BLOOD PRESSURE AND OTHER CARDIOVASCULAR PROPERTIES
An ultrasound cardiovascular measuring device may include an ultrasonic sensor system having an ultrasound transmitter layer configured to generate ultrasonic plane waves and a focusing layer that includes one or more lenses. One or more of the lenses may be configured to generate output signals corresponding to detected ultrasonic reflections. The measuring device may include a control system capable of processing the output signals to calculate values corresponding to one or more cardiovascular properties.
BLOOD ANALYSIS DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Methods and apparatus are provided for non-invasive blood analysis. A blood analysis device (10, 30) comprises a housing (24) for receiving a human or animal body part or a container of blood. The housing (24, 32) comprises at least one wave emitter (18) for emitting an emitted wave to target blood, and at least one wave sensor (26) for sensing a response wave after the emitted wave has interacted with the target blood. The at least one wave sensor is configured to output at least one sense signal allowing a frequency spectrum of the emitted wave to be constructed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PALM-WEARABLE DIAGNOSTIC ULTRASOUND PROBING
An apparatus and corresponding method of use relate to diagnostic ultrasound probing. In particular, the apparatus is suitable for ultrasound guidance for musculoskeletal (MSK) injections. The apparatus is a palm-wearable device configured to removably and replaceably receive and hold a sensor device. The palm-wearable device enables a user to have one hand for manipulating the sensor device and a free hand for performing other tasks such as a MSK injection.
Wireless fetal monitoring system
A wireless fetal and maternal monitoring system includes a fetal sensor unit adapted to receive signals indicative of a fetal heartbeat, the sensor optionally utilizing a Doppler ultrasound sensor. A short-range transmission unit sends the signals indicative of fetal heartbeat to a gateway unit, either directly or via an auxiliary communications unit, in which case the electrical coupling between the short-range transmission unit and the auxiliary communications unit is via a wired connection. The system includes a contraction actuator actuatable upon a maternal uterine contraction, which optionally is a EMG sensor. A gateway device provides for data visualization and data securitization. The gateway device provides for remote transmission of information through a data communication network. A server adapted to receive the information from the gateway device serves to store and process the data, and an interface system to permits remote patient monitoring.
Probe holder for ultrasound imaging device
Systems and methods can include a system for positioning an ultrasound probe proximal to anatomy of a patient on a radiation couch including a substantially planar base including engagement features to directly or indirectly index the substantially planar base to the radiation couch and a centrally located guide extending longitudinally along a top side of the base, a probe holder, configured to be coupled to, to translate longitudinally, and to be user-accessed and user-controlled from within, a central region of the substantially planar base, a clamp, configured to localize the probe holder at a specified location along a translation path in the central region of the substantially planar base, leg supports shaped to accommodate a patient's legs from behind, the pair of leg supports being shaped and arranged to provide a space therebetween that can accommodate an ultrasound probe holder.
Pregnancy monitoring system and method
The present invention relates to a pregnancy monitoring system (10) and to a method for detecting medical condition information from a pregnant subject of interest (12). The system (10) comprises a fetal monitoring transducer (20) that detects fetal medical condition information, a first motion sensor unit (30) associated with the fetal monitoring transducer (20), the first motion sensor unit (30) comprising at least one first motion sensor (70, 72), a second motion sensor unit (32) comprising at least one second motion sensor (70, 72), and a control device (48) comprising an evaluation unit (50) that determines relative motion between the first motion sensor unit (30) and the second motion sensor unit (32), wherein the control device (48) selectively permits, in an enablement mode, processing of the detected fetal medical condition information when a level of relative motion between the first motion sensor unit (30) and the second motion sensor unit (32) indicates stable measurement conditions, and wherein the control device (48) selectively prevents, in a suppression mode, processing of the detected fetal medical condition information when the level of relative motion between the first motion sensor unit (30) and the second motion sensor unit (32) indicates unstable measurement conditions.
BIDIRECTIONAL ULTRASONIC SENSOR SYSTEM FOR BIOMETRIC DEVICES
An apparatus may include an ultrasonic receiver array, an ultrasonic transmitter and a control system capable of controlling the ultrasonic transmitter to transmit first ultrasonic waves in a first direction and to simultaneously transmit second ultrasonic waves in a second direction that is opposite the first direction. The control system may be capable of distinguishing first reflected waves from second reflected waves, the first reflected waves corresponding to reflections of the first ultrasonic waves that are received by the ultrasonic receiver array and the second reflected waves corresponding to reflections of the second ultrasonic waves that are received by the ultrasonic receiver array. The control system may be capable of determining first image data corresponding to the first reflected waves and of determining second image data corresponding to the second reflected waves.
