ESTIMATING CENTRAL BLOOD PRESSURE

A device is for estimating the central blood pressure of a subject. The device comprises a sensor patch comprising an array of sensors configured to measure an indication of the blood pressure of a peripheral blood vessel and perform ultrasound imaging of the peripheral blood vessel. The device also comprises a processor configured to obtain a peripheral pressure signal comprising a pressure waveform from the indication of the blood pressure from the sensor patch and derive an image of the peripheral blood vessel from the signals received from the sensor patch. A vessel diameter is determined from the image of the peripheral blood vessel over time comprising a vessel diameter waveform and an estimate of the central blood pressure of the subject is derived from the pressure waveform and/or the vessel diameter waveform.

CONTACTLESS CMUT OPERATION

Methods, systems, and techniques for the contactless operation of capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (CMUTs) and CMUT arrays. Contactless operations refers to both the contactless transfer of energy and information between the transducer(s) and the controlling subsystem. A system includes a CMUT, a first alternating current voltage source, a first inductor electrically coupled to the first voltage source, and a second inductor electrically coupled to the CMUT. The second inductor is physically decoupled from, and positioned to be wirelessly coupled to, the first inductor. A contactless configuration is useful for a wide range of applications, from wearable transducers to high-end ultrasound imaging systems.

Methods and apparatuses for azimuthal summing of ultrasound data

Aspects of the technology described herein related to controlling, using control circuitry, modulation circuitry to modulate and delay first ultrasound data generated by first ultrasound transducers positioned at a first azimuthal position of an ultrasound transducer array of an ultrasound device and second ultrasound data generated by second ultrasound transducers positioned at a second azimuthal position of the ultrasound transducer array of the ultrasound device, such that the first ultrasound data is delayed by a first delay amount and the second ultrasound data is delayed by a second delay amount that is different from the first delay amount. The first and second ultrasound data received from the modulation circuitry may be filtered and summed. The ultrasound transducer array, the control circuitry, the modulation circuitry, the filtering circuitry, and the summing circuitry may be integrated onto a semiconductor chip or one or more semiconductor chips packaged together.

WEARABLE ULTRASOUND PATCH FOR MONITORING SUBJECTS IN MOTION USING MACHINE LEARNING AND WIRELESS ELECTRONICS

A fully integrated autonomous wearable ultrasonic-system-on-patch (USoP) includes a miniaturized flexible control circuit is designed to interface with an ultrasound transducer array for signal pre-conditioning and wireless data communication. Artificial Intelligence (e.g., machine learning) may be used to track moving tissue targets and assist the data interpretation. In one implementation, the USoP allows continuous tracking of physiological signals from tissues as deep as 164 mm. On mobile subjects, the USoP can continuously monitor physiological signals, including central blood pressure, heart rate, and cardiac output, for as long as e.g., twelve hours. This result enables continuous autonomous surveillance of deep tissue signals.

HEART VALVE DYSFUNCTION DETECTION
