Ultrasound probe and ultrasound diagnosis apparatus
In an ultrasound probe according to an embodiment, a first ultrasound transducer array scans a first scanned plane. A second ultrasound transducer array engages with the first ultrasound transducer array, is provided so as to intersect the first ultrasound transducer array, and scans a second scanned plane different from the first scanned plane. A probe main body is provided with the first ultrasound transducer array and the second ultrasound transducer array, has an opening in a position where the first and the second ultrasound transducer arrays intersect each other, and has a through hole extending to the opening. An engaging part that causes the first and the second ultrasound transducer arrays to engage with each other is configured in such a manner that the angle at which the first and the second ultrasound transducer arrays intersect each other is changeable.
ULTRASOUND PROBE WITH AN INTEGRATED NEEDLE ASSEMBLY AND A COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT, A METHOD AND A SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A PATH FOR INSERTING A NEEDLE OF THE ULTRASOUND PROBE
A device and system for and methods of using an ultrasound probe housing containing ultrasound probes configured to produce images inside the body of a patient for procedures requiring needle or probe insertion. The ultrasound probe housing can be configured with a guide channel cut-out or aperture between the ambient side and body side of a patient. A needle guide assembly may be pivotally connect internal to the guide channel cut-out or aperture of the ultrasound probe housing at a pivot point such that during use the needle enters the patient through the needle guide assembly within the ultrasonic probe housing so that the needle can be visualized by the ultrasonic probes in real time. The ultrasound probe housing may also provide an adhesion or suction quality to the body side of the device to facilitate aspects of the invention.
MEASUREMENT PROBE
An ultrasound probe is described that comprises a transducer for transmitting and receiving ultrasound. The probe also includes a coupling element, such as a spherical ball of self-lubricating or hydrogel material, for contacting and acoustically coupling to an object to be inspected. The ultrasound probe also includes an analyser that is arranged to analyse the ultrasound signal received by the transducer and thereby determine if there is contact between the coupling element, and the surface of an object. The probe can thus be used for internal (ultrasound) inspection of objects as well as measuring the position of points on the surface of the object. The probe may be mountable to a coordinate measuring machine or other moveable platforms.
ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM
In one embodiment, an ultrasonic diagnostic system includes: a plurality of probes; at least one operation/display panel configured to be disposed at a same examination location as at least one of the plurality of probes; communication equipment configured to communicate with the plurality of probes and the operation/display panel; a measurement circuit configured to measure physical quantity related to the plurality of probes; processing circuitry configured to associate a specific probe of the plurality of probes with the operation/display panel based on the measured physical quantity; and an ultrasonic server configured to be disposed at a location different from the examination location, receive first data acquired by the specific probe via the communication equipment, generate second data based on the first data, and transmit the second data to the operation/display panel via the communication equipment.
Pose Recovery of an Ultrasound Transducer
Pose of an ultrasound transducer is recovered. In one approach, inertial measurement units are positioned on the ultrasound transducer. The measurements from the inertial measurement units are used with pose or measurements from another position sensor (e.g., x-ray, electromagnetic, or optical) to improve accuracy and/or provide pose information at a greater rate. In another approach, a curve, line, or other connected shape of light emitting diodes are incorporated into the transducer. Optical tracking, with a filter specific to the light emitting diodes, using the connected shape pattern is used to determine the pose.
ULTRASOUND PROBE CALIBRATION PHANTOM, ULTRASOUND PROBE CALIBRATION SYSTEM AND CALIBRATION METHOD THEREOF
An ultrasound probe calibration system and method. The system comprises an ultrasound probe calibration phantom (100), and the ultrasound probe calibration phantom (100) is provided with a sunken recess (110) at a middle position of an upper surface thereof and with several conical holes on a side surface thereof. The sunken recess (110) is fixedly connected with a two dimensional ultrasound probe (220) therein. The conical hole is inserted with an NDI insertion stylus (230), and a tip of the NDI insertion stylus (230) can be acquired in ultrasound imaging. An ultrasound probe calibration system employing the above structure enables a midplane of an ultrasound plane to pass a midplane of an ultrasound probe calibration phantom (100) along a middle gap, such that a tip of an NDI insertion stylus (230) is used for the midplane of the ultrasound plane, thereby addressing the problem of misalignment of a point-type phantom or a two-dimensional plane-type phantom to the ultrasound plane.
