Identifying management zones in agricultural fields and generating planting plans for the zones

In an embodiment, yield data representing yields of crops that have been harvested from an agricultural field and field characteristics data representing characteristics of the agricultural field is received and used to determine a plurality of management zone delineation options. Each option, of the plurality of management zone delineation options, comprises zone layout data for an option. The plurality of management zone delineation options is determined by: determining a plurality of count values for a management class count; generating, for each count value, a management delineation option by clustering the yield data from and the field characteristics data, assigning zones to clusters, and including the zones in a management zone delineation option. One or more options from the plurality of management zone delineation options are selected and used to determine one or more planting plans. A graphical representation of the options and the planting plans is displayed for a user.

Electric motor addressing for planters

An electric motor addressing system and method for a planter implement receives, at an electronic control unit (ECU), an address claim request from each motor of a plurality of motors coupled to the ECU via a first bus. Each address claim request includes a requested bus address and a binary value corresponding to a pin connector setting associated with a harness connector of the respective motor. The system associates the binary value with a physical address for each motor without reference to the bus address and maps each bus address to the physical address.

The energy storage system includes a first battery group having a plurality of sections, which respectively have at least one battery module and at least one cooling fan; at least one first slave battery management system (BMS) coupled to the first battery group to monitor a temperature value of battery modules included in the first battery group for each section and generate first temperature information having the monitored temperature value for each section; a master BMS configured to transmit the first temperature information according to a predetermined rule; and a control unit configured to output a first control signal for adjusting a rotation speed of at least one cooling fan provided in at least one of the plurality of sections, based on the first temperature information transmitted from the master BMS.

Method for the fail-safe operation of a process control system with redundant control devices

A process control system is provided which has at least one OPC client and one OPC server which communicate via a standardized OPC interface. Furthermore the process control system has at least two redundantly operated control devices which each communicate with the OPC server by means of a coupling device. Each control device is designed to provide process variables and status information. The status information contains the current role of the respective control device, wherein the current role is either that of a main control device or an auxiliary control device. The OPC server is designed to detect the main control device in response to the status information of at least one control device, to register a list of variables generated by the OPC client at the main control device and/or to transmit to the OPC client only the process variables which have been provided by the main control device.

Systems and methods for providing network connectivity and remote monitoring, optimization, and control of pool/spa equipment

Systems and methods for providing network connectivity and remote monitoring, optimization, and control of pool/spa equipment are provided. Internet-of-Things (IoT) functionality is provided for pool and spa equipment in a flexible and cost-effective manner. Network connectivity and remote monitoring/control of pool and spa equipment is provided by various components such as a network communication and local control subsystem installed in pool/spa equipment, and other components. Also disclosed are various control processes (pool logic) which can be embodied as software code installed in any of the various embodiments of the present disclosure.

Vehicle control apparatus

In a vehicle control apparatus, one or more control units, each configured to perform an arithmetic operation process in accordance with a program stored therein in advance to individually control an operating state of an activator mounted in a vehicle, are connected to a network communication path to form a vehicle network. The vehicle control apparatus includes an external communication unit and a monitoring unit. The external communication unit is connectable to or disconnectable from the network communication path and is configured to allow the vehicle to communicate externally. The monitoring unit is configured to determine a state of each of the one or more control units while the external communication unit is disconnected from the network communication path.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INITIALIZING A CONTROLLER MODULE

The present disclosure relates to a control module circuit having a circuit communication input port, a circuit communication output port, a first controllable unit that has a first controller module, and a second controllable unit having a second controller module. The first controller module has a first communication input port connected with the circuit communication input port and a first communication output port. The second controller module has a second communication input port connected with the first communication output port and a second communication output port connected with the circuit communication output port. The first and second controllable units are adapted to be identified with a permanent identity by way of a transmittable data signal receivable at the communication input port and sequentially received by the first and second controllable units.

Multi-module fiber laser capable of monitoring abnormalities of optical modules in real time

A multi-module fiber laser capable of monitoring abnormalities of optical modules in real time. In the multi-module fiber laser, the CAN bus is employed to directly obtain whether each of the slave control modules or the master control module is in normal working condition, so that the CAN bus is at the status level corresponding to whether all modules are in normal working state, namely, the CAN bus that is configured to transmit the light control signal issued by the master control module. The status level of the slave control module or the combiner module is also transmitted via the CAN bus, so that all the slave control modules can quickly put themselves in the corresponding working state according to the status level of the CAN bus.

REMOTE CONTROL OF MULTIPLE DIFFERENT MACHINES

A control hub receives machine operation requests from multiple different machines that are located remotely from the control hub. The control hub selects a remote operator to service each of the machine requests, from a remote operator station. The control hub then facilitates communication between the machines requesting operation, and the operators selected to service those requests, from their remote operator station.
