An adaptor for mounting on an imaging transducer includes a hollow housing configured to receive a portion of the imaging transducer. The housing comprises a coupling member for enabling releasable securement of a needle guide device to the housing, wherein the needle guide device includes a body member and a lockable mounting member. The coupling member comprises a projection portion that projects outwardly from the housing, wherein the projection portion includes first and second undercut recesses on opposing sides of the projection portion, wherein the projection portion is configured for receipt in a recess in the body member, the recess in the body member including at least one stop portion. The first undercut recess is configured to receive the stop portion, and the second undercut recess is configured to receive an engagement portion of the lockable mounting member when the lockable mounting member is moved from an unlocked position to a locked position to releasably secure the lockable mounting member to said coupling member, thereby releasably mounting the needle guide device on the imaging transducer.
Ultrasound probe
An ultrasound probe and method for using the same are described. In one embodiment, the ultrasound probe comprises: a probe array assembly having a probe tip; a first enclosure disposed around a portion of the probe array assembly, where the first enclosure has first and second openings and comprises a thermally conductive material; and one or more thermally conductive fins contained within the first enclosure, each of the one or more thermally conductive fins having one end enclosed within the probe array assembly and a portion extending away from the probe array assembly and in thermal contact with an inner surface of the first enclosure to create a thermal path from the first opening to the second opening in the first enclosure.
Connector cover and ultrasonic probe assembly having the same
Disclosed herein is a connector cover configured to be used in an ultrasonic probe connector and an ultrasonic probe assembly. The connector cover includes a case, and a coupling device disposed at one end portion in the case and configured to be coupled to the connector. The coupling device includes a body including a fastening portion configured to be coupled to a connector protrusion provided to protrude from the connector toward a first direction, and a rotating shaft connected to the case and the body, and the connector cover is configured to be coupled to the connector along a second direction.
Device for measuring blood flow
The invention relates to a measurement device for the blood flow of an individual, for example for the detection of bubbles. The device comprises an acoustic emitter and a case with an emission surface capping the acoustic emitter. The emission surface is terminated at one end by a clavicular contact portion perpendicular to the emission surface and suited for coming to rest against a clavicle bone of the individual and is terminated at another end by a shoulder contact portion perpendicular to the emission surface and suited for coming to rest against a bone of the shoulder of the individual. A vertical distance between the middle of an active zone of the emission surface and the clavicular contact portion is less than 20 mm. A transverse distance between the middle of the active zone and the shoulder contact portion is included between 20 and 50 mm.
ROTATIONAL INTRAVASCULAR ULTRASOUND PROBE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
A rotational intravascular ultrasound probe for insertion into a vasculature and a method of manufacturing the same. The rotational intravascular ultrasound probe comprises an elongate catheter having a flexible body and an elongate transducer shaft disposed within the flexible body. The transducer shaft comprises a proximal end portion, a distal end portion, a drive shaft extending from the proximal end portion to the distal end portion, an ultrasonic transducer disposed near the distal end portion for obtaining a circumferential image through rotation, and a transducer housing molded to the drive shaft and the ultrasonic transducer.
Probe for ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus
A probe for an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which is used for performing a test upon a subject is provided. The probe includes a case which forms an exterior of the probe, a piezoelectric object which is provided on an inside of the case and which generates an ultrasonic wave, a sound absorbing layer which is provided at a rear surface of the piezoelectric object and which prevents the ultrasonic wave from being delivered to a rear portion of the piezoelectric object, an acoustic matching layer which delivers the generated ultrasonic wave to a subject by matching a sound impedance of the piezoelectric object with a sound impedance of the subject, and a sound lens which concentrates the generated ultrasonic wave and radiates the concentrated ultrasonic wave toward the subject.
Combination ultrasound transducer and fat injecting cannula
