DYNAMIC THRESHOLD PARAMETER UPDATES BASED ON PERIODIC PERFORMANCE REVIEW OF ANY DEVICE
A method for updating operating parameters of a consumer appliance. Respective operating conditions are received regarding a plurality of consumer appliances that are communicatively coupled to a database. Historical data tracking at least one component in the plurality of consumer appliances based on the operating conditions is generated. A trend, based on the data, as well as a first set of optimal operating parameters for operating the component in a first consumer appliance of the plurality of consumer appliances is determined. The first set of updated operating parameters is transmitted to the first consumer appliance to effect a change in an operation of the component in the first consumer appliance.
DYNAMIC THRESHOLD PARAMETER UPDATES BASED ON PERIODIC PERFORMANCE REVIEW OF ANY DEVICE
A computer program product and system for updating operating parameters of a consumer appliance.
Dynamic routing and edge orchestration for industrial automation data
A non-transitory computer-readable medium includes instructions that, when executed by processing circuitry, cause the processing circuitry to receive, from an edge device of an industrial automation system, data indicative of a type of one or more devices in the industrial automation system, one or more types of data generated by the one or more devices, one or more components included in the one or more devices, firmware of the one or more devices, or any combination thereof. When executed, the instructions also cause the processing circuitry to identify, based on the received data, either a firmware update for the industrial automation system or, from a container repository, a container that is implementable on the edge device. Additionally, when executed, the instructions cause the processing circuitry to cause a container image for the container or firmware update for the firmware to be sent to the edge device.
CONTROLLER AND CONTROL PROGRAM UPDATING METHOD
A controller according to an embodiment includes a main processing unit and a monitoring unit. The main processing unit executes a control program. The monitoring unit monitors the main processing unit by a first monitoring method for transmitting, to the main processing unit, a transmission content corresponding to a question and for evaluating an answer to the question from the main processing unit. The main processing unit causes, when receiving an updating request of the control program, the monitoring unit to perform switching from the first monitoring method into a second monitoring method for monitoring a watchdog signal of the main processing unit.
UNINTERRUPTABLE VERIFICATION AND CONTROL UPGRADE FOR REAL-TIME CONTROL SYSTEM
Exemplified system and method facilitates update/upgrade and validation of controls systems in an uninterrupted manner. An update/upgrade agent operates with a multiple-processor or multi-processor core system to simultaneously and concurrently implement two real-time embedded controllers in which a first controller executes a current firmware or control application installed at the site while a second controller executes an updated controller firmware or control application.
INDUSTRIAL INTERNET CONNECTED CONTROL SYSTEM
An apparatus is provided. The apparatus including a plurality of network interfaces, including a first network interface and a second network interface. The apparatus also includes a processor with two or more independent processing units, including a first independent processing unit and a second independent processing unit. The apparatus further includes a memory having first instructions and second instructions stored thereon. Execution of the first instructions, cause the first independent processing unit to execute operations associated with a first operating system and communicate, via the first network interface, over a bi-direction communication, with one or more platform computing devices. Execution of the second instructions, cause the second independent processing unit to execute real-time operations associated with a second operating system and communicate, via the second network interface, with one or more computing devices each having one or more sensors thereon.
CLOUD-ENABLED TESTING OF CONTROL SYSTEMS
A system and method for testing a control system is disclosed. The control system includes a field device located in one area and a controller located in a different area. A mobile application running on a mobile computing device is used by a technician to test the control system. Because both the mobile computing device and the controller are coupled to a cloud computing system, the technician may interface with the controller while located at the field device. This remote access to the controller allows a single technician to test the control system by interfacing with the controller and the field device simultaneously. In addition, the mobile application may retrieve data from the cloud computing system to facilitate testing and may transmit test results to the cloud for storage. Others having access to the stored results may view the progress and results of the testing.
CLOUD-ENABLED I/O CONFIGURATION OF A CONTROL SYSTEM
A system and method for configuring a cloud-enabled industrial control system is disclosed involving a cloud computing system receiving instrument data, configuring the instrument data to create an instrument index, alerting and automatically correcting, by a cloud service, configuration errors in the instrument index that occurred during the configuration of the instrument data; creating, by at least a rules engine cloud service using the instrument index, a hardware layout for at least a portion of the cloud-enabled industrial control system; and assigning, by the rules engine cloud service, input/output (I/O) points from the instrument index to the hardware layout to create an I/O configuration file for the cloud-enabled industrial control system.
METHOD TO UPDATE SAFETY RELATED SOFTWARE
The present disclosure relates to a method (200) of updating safety-related software in a people conveyor system, particularly in an elevator system (10), the method comprising: the steps of providing an updated version of the safety-related software (210); storing (230) the updated version of the safety-related software in a safety unit (60) of the people conveyor system; activating (240) the updated version of the safety-related software, the step of activating including operating a software update activation switch permanently associated with the people conveyor system; and in case of successful activation of the updated version of the safety-related software, controlling the operation of the people conveyor system based on the updated version of the safety-related software (290).
Graph theory and network analytics and diagnostics for process optimization in manufacturing
A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for analysis and characterization of manufacturing information such as process trees or genealogies using graph theory. More specifically, using graph theory to analyze manufacturing information of a manufacturing operation allows for deep analysis of relationships between batches or units in a process tree and their closeness or distance, to identify clusters associated with specific quality characteristics or problems, to identify common antecedents of specifically labeled batches (e.g., problem batches), and/or to detect overall desirable or undesirable characteristics of the process tree (e.g., centrality, etc.).
