SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTEXTUAL IMAGING WORKFLOW
A hierarchical workflow is configured to associate examination information captured using an imaging platform with contextual metadata. The examination information may include ultrasound image data, which may be associated with annotations, measurements, pathology, body markers, and/or the like. The hierarchical workflow may comprise templates associated with respective anatomical regions, locations, volumes, and/or surfaces. A template may define configuration data to automatically adapt the imaging platform to capture imaging data in the corresponding anatomical region. The template may further include guidance information for the operator, including processing steps for capturing relevant examination information. Additional examination information may be captured and included in the hierarchical workflow.
Variable cryosurgical probe planning system
A cryosurgical system including a computer system programmed with software configured to perform the following steps: a) capturing at least one first view of a region of interest in a human body; b) capturing at least one second view of the region of interest; c) outlining the region of interest and at least one area outside the region of interest with the assistance of an operator; d) constructing a 3-dimensional model of the region of interest and the at least one area outside the region of interest utilizing the at least one first view and the at least one second view of the region of interest; and e) utilizing the 3-dimensional model of the region of interest and the at least one area outside the region of interest to determine at least one cryosurgical probe placement location.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ULTRASOUND PERFUSION IMAGING
A perfusion imaging processing method comprising collecting a plurality of digital images comprising sequential B-Mode micro-ultrasound reflectivity data, calculating decorrelation trends of autocorrelated data to determine blood flow and perfusion level, reducing the noise content in the data using the decorrelation trends, and/or forming a visual representation based on the decorrelation trends. The present system and method provides an ultrasonic imaging system and method which provides perfusion data without requiring the use of an injected contrast agent.
ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSIS APPARATUS AND STORAGE MEDIUM
According to one embodiment, an ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus includes processing circuitry and a display. The processing circuitry executes a load process of loading predetermined data from volume data stored in other apparatus. The processing circuitry executes a reconstruction process of reconstructing volume data from the loaded data. The processing circuitry executes a registration process in such a manner as to register the positions of the displayed ultrasonic image and slice image based on the loaded data. The processing circuitry executes a control process of controlling, after the registration process, the display in such a manner as to interlock-display the ultrasonic image and slice image.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND COMPUTER-ACCESSIBLE MEDIUM FOR DIFFUSION IMAGING ACQUISITION AND ANALYSIS
Exemplary system, method and computer-accessible medium for determining a difference(s) between two sets of subjects, can be provided. Using such exemplary system, method and computer-accessible medium, it is possible to receive first imaging information related to a first set of subjects of the two sets of the subjects, receive second imaging information related to a second set of subjects of the two sets of subjects, generate third information by performing a decomposition procedure(s) on the first imaging information and the second information, and determine the difference(s) based on the third information.
System and method for positioning an artificial heart valve at the position of a malfunctioning valve of a heart through a percutaneous route
Method for positioning an artificial heart valve at the anatomic position of a malfunctioning heart valve of a heart of a patient, by employing a catheter bearing the artificial heart valve and a valve fixation device, at the tip of the catheter, the method including the procedures of receiving a marking input associated with an image of the heart, and respective of the anatomic position, in a medical positioning system (MPS) coordinate system, moving the tip toward the anatomic position, constantly detecting the current position of the artificial heart valve, and producing an indication when the current position substantially matches the anatomic position, thereby enabling the catheter to fix the malfunctioning heart valve in place, by the valve fixation device.
Method of verifying a surgical operation image matching and method of compensating a surgical operation image matching
In order to verify a surgical operation image matching, a model of a target is manufactured. Then, a reference body is attached to the model. Then, three-dimensional reference data regarding to the model is obtained. Then, grid patterned light is emitted onto the model to obtain reflection image. Then, three-dimensional shape is measured from the reflection image, and measurement image is obtained from the three-dimensional shape. Then, the measurement image and previously obtained three-dimensional reference data are matched. Then, reference position of the target in the three-dimensional reference data is compared with estimated position of the target, which is estimated by the reference body in the measurement image. Therefore, the matching of the surgical operation can be verified.
Method of adjusting focal zone in ultrasound-guided procedures by tracking an electromagnetic sensor that implemented on a surgical device
A method and system track a location of an object while the object is disposed within a region of interest within biological tissue, the location of the object being determined with respect to a tracking coordinate frame; generate acoustic images of the region of interest, the acoustic images being generated with respect to an acoustic image coordinate frame which is different from the tracking coordinate frame; transform the location of the object from the tracking coordinate frame to the acoustic image coordinate frame; and automatically adjust at least one image resolution parameter of the acoustic images in response to the location of the object with respect to the acoustic image coordinate frame.
Medical imaging apparatus and method
A medical device is used to image a body cavity using a plurality of axially and angularly spaced imaging sensors. Each imaging sensor generates an image that is distinct from one another due to distinct fields of vision. Each image includes an overlapping zone with commonalties that are used to extrapolate a greater calibrated image.
