Processing robot system in which processing device is connected to robot to perform processing
A processing robot system includes a connection setting information group storage device provided inside a robot control device, a teaching operation panel, and a PC. The connection setting information group storage device stores a connection setting information group including information on settings for a digital communication standard between a processing device and the robot control device, and information on the allocation of I/O signals to be transmitted between the processing device and the robot control device via digital communication and which outputs the connection setting information group as one file. The teaching operation panel and the PC have a screen on which each piece of setting information included in the connection setting information group can be displayed and edited. Such a processing robot system can easily make settings for connection with a digital-controlled processing device.
INTERRUPT EXCEPTION WINDOW PROTOCOL ON A DATA COMMUNICATION BUS AND METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR USING SAME
An input/output (I/O) and control system for long distance communications and industrial applications having a bus and protocol for communications between field devices and a channel generator for monitoring and control of the field devices. The channel generator produces a pulse train such as an offset square wave with dual scan bus cycles having alternating A and B scan cycles that each comprise a plurality of channel windows assigned to the field devices. One or more channel windows in the A and B scan cycles has an exception interrupt window during which the control unit can detect a low level signal provided by a field device before its corresponding channel window in the dual scan bus cycle, thereby reducing system reaction time.
Barrier Operator Feature Enhancement
A barrier operator feature enhancement device is designed to provide one or more features found in modern barrier operator devices and to incorporate those features into a previously installed barrier operator system. To facilitate ease of use, the barrier operator feature enhancement device can communicate with a large variety of barrier operators. Such communication may be wireless or wired, depending on the communication protocol implemented by a particular previously installed barrier operator. To facilitate the ease of installation, the device is designed to configure itself to operate with the communication protocol of the previously installed barrier operator. Once configured to be able to communicate with the previously installed barrier operator, the feature enhancement device works with the barrier operator to provide one or more additional features to enhance the capabilities of the previously installed barrier operator.

Web server component and method for providing access to device configuration data within an industrial automation system
A method in which a check is performed to determine whether a request originates from a requesting communication device from an IPv6 subnetwork or comprises a destination resource identifier allocated to a Web server component with an IPv6 address or a device name to provide access to device configuration data of an IPv4-based automation device within an industrial automation system in cases of a request for a Web document with device configuration data, wherein if the check result is positive, the Web document is provided with a reference to the device configuration data which includes an Ipv6 address printout or a device name, where in the case of a request for the Web document which originates from a requesting communication device from an IPv4 subnetwork and/or comprises a destination resource identifier with an IPv4 address, the reference to the device configuration data comprises an IPv4 address printout.

Device and method for the automated detection of an interface
In a device and a method for the automated detection of an interface between a position-measuring device and sequential electronics that are interconnected via a data-transmission channel, the position-measuring device includes an interface unit and a position-measuring unit. The interface unit is connected first of all to the data-transmission channel, and secondly to the position-measuring unit for the purpose of an internal data exchange. The interface to the sequential electronics is selectable in the interface unit from at least two interfaces. Also disposed in the position-measuring device is an interface-detection unit, which is supplied with at least one input signal that arrives from the sequential electronics via the data-transmission channel, and which includes a device for determining the time sequence of signal edges of the at least one input signal in conjunction with the signal status, as well as an evaluation unit in which the interface used to the sequential electronics is detectable by evaluating the time sequence determined, and is selectable in the interface unit.
DISTRIBUTION MODULE WITH SELECTOR SWITCH
The invention relates to a distribution module (1) and method for operating a distribution module. A distribution module comprises a housing (2) and a bus connection (3) and multiple device connections (4). Selection means (5), in particular a rotary selector switch, are provided, by means of which one of multiple communication protocols which are stored in a memory within the housing (2) can be manually selected from outside the housing (2). Alternatively, the selection means can also be configured as a DIP switch, membrane keyboard, touchscreen or key switch. The memory is preferably non-volatile. When a protocol is chosen and the controller parameterises the distribution module via said protocol, and a device then starts cyclic data exchange, the ID of said protocol is thereby also stored in a non-volatile manner. Electronic units such as computing units, memories, power supply and the suchlike are accommodated in the housing (2). In addition, the distribution module (1) comprises a bus connection (3), with which the distribution module (1) can be connected via a data line to a computing unit which is not represented. The distribution module (1) preferably comprises multiple device connections (4) which are similar or different to each other. The electro-mechanical or electronic adjustment option preferably relates to industrial fieldbus devices, such as I/O distribution modules, which work with standardised communication protocols (e.g. Profibus, PROFINET IO, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, SERCOSIII, Powerlink, CANopen, DeviceNet).
