Systems for selectively replenishing aquifers and generating electrical power based on electrical demand
In an example method, first electrical power is generated using one or more solar panels. Saline water is desalinated using a desalination facility powered, at least in part, by the first electrical power. The desalinated water is stored in a reservoir located at a first elevation. A usage of an electrical grid is monitored, and a determination is made that one or more criteria are satisfied at a first time. In response, the desalinated water is directed from the reservoir to a turbine generator located at a second elevation, second electrical power is generated using the turbine generator, the desalinated water is directed from the turbine generator into an aquifer located at a third elevation, and at least a portion of the second electrical power is provided to the electrical grid.

An integrated renewable energy source (RES) and energy storage system (ESS) facility configured to supply power to an AC electrical grid includes energy storage system capacity and inverter capacity that are larger than a point of grid interconnect (POGI) limit for the facility, enabling high capacity factors and production profiles that match a desired load. At least one first DC-AC power inverter is associated with RES, and at least one second AC-DC power inverter is associated with the ESS. AC-DC conversion is used when charging the ESS with RES AC electric power, and DC-AC conversion utility is used when discharging ESS AC electric power to the electric grid. Aggregate DC-AC inverter utility exceeds the facility POGI limit, and excess RES AC electric power may be diverted to the second inverter(s).
Safety circuits for electric heating element
A system controller such as a microprocessor receives voltage signals produced from a resistor identifying the functional or nonfunctional operating state of a power switch which controls the amount of power provided to a load in an electrical system. The resistor is also used to provide voltage signals representing the temperature of a heating element of the type used in heating pads and heating blankets. The functional or nonfunctional operating state of a safety switch in a safety circuit capable of blowing a fuse and cutting power to the load is periodically tested to ensure the safety of the electrical system.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GATHERING AND ANALYZING FUEL CONSUMPTION AND DEMAND INFORMATION OF A BUILDING
A system and related method to analyze operation of a heating system of a building based on fuel consumption and fuel demand of the building. The system includes a database of information about the heating system of the building, a first sensor set arranged to gather fuel consumption information and a second sensor set arranged to gather fuel demand information within the building. The system includes a fuel usage and demand analysis function configured to analyze data from the first sensor set and from the second sensor set to output a determination of operation of the heating system based on consumption information and demand information.
Furniture Motion Control System
A furniture motion control system for controlling movement of one or more movable parts of a furniture member includes a panel including one or more buttons; an actuator configured to control movement of the one or more movable parts of the furniture member; an electric motor configured to drive the actuator; and control circuitry configured to control the electric motor, wherein the control circuitry is configured to, in response to detecting that a first button, from among the one or more buttons, has been pressed, select between controlling the motor to drive the actuator and the one or more movable parts to move automatically and controlling the motor to drive the actuator and the one or more movable parts to move manually, based on a length of time the first button is held.
REMOTE MANAGEMENT OF A FACILITY
“Systems, apparatuses, methods, and non-transitory computer readable program instructions relating to controlling one or more devices of a facility.”
Power-Saving Control Device for Operation of Electronic Garbage Can
A power-saving control device for operation of an electronic garbage can is provided. The power-saving control device includes a rotation-blocked current setting register, a sampling resistor, an analog-digital converter, an analog-digital conversion result register, and a comparing unit, which are electrically connected in sequence. A reference end of the comparing unit is connected to the rotation-blocked current setting register, and an output end of the comparing unit is connected to a microcomputer control unit. A connecting point between the sampling resistor and a motor positive and negative rotation driving circuit is connected to the analog-digital converter. The comparing unit compares a current value obtained in real time with a reference current value in the rotation-blocked current setting register, and when the real-time current value is greater than the reference current value, the microcomputer control unit stops supplying power to a motor by controlling the motor positive and negative rotation driving circuit. The power-saving control device has greatly reduced power consumption during operation of an electronic garbage can and a prolonged service life of its battery. The device does not need any stroke sensor while it is simple in structure, low in costs, and high in reliability.
