PRECISION VIBRATION-ISOLATION SYSTEM WITH FLOOR FEEDFORWARD ASSISTANCE

Apparatus and methods to reduce unwanted motion in precision instruments are described. An active vibration-isolation system may include a feedback loop that senses motion of an intermediate mass. In noisy environments, where the feedback loop would otherwise fail or provide inadequate isolation, feedforward control can be implemented to sense floor vibrations and reduce motion of the intermediate mass that would otherwise be induced by the floor vibrations. The feedforward control can reduce motion of the intermediate mass to a level that allows the feedback loop to operate satisfactorily.

System and method for wirelessly transmitting and receiving safety information

Disclosed is a system for transmitting and receiving safety information, which generates first safety information about a control target and second safety information representing the occurrence or not of an error in the control target by using one microcontroller. The system includes a first slave controller generating first safety information and second safety information by using sensing data obtained from a control target and a master controller receiving the first safety information and the second safety information from the first slave controller through a wireless channel. When an error occurs in the first slave controller, the first slave controller transmits the second safety information to a second slave controller, and the second slave controller transmits the second safety information, received from the first slave controller, to the master controller.

The communication method includes performing bidirectional communication between a master controller and first to N.sup.th (where N is an integer equal to or more than two) slave controllers through a first communication channel, and receiving, by the master controller, an indication signal through a second communication signal via the first to N.sup.th slave controllers.

Systems and methods for controlling a hybrid air/liquid cooling system of a building

A device may monitor an intake temperature of an air flow through an air intake of a building that includes a ventilation system for temperature control of a first region of the building, a liquid cooling system for temperature control of equipment that is within a second region of the building, and a heat exchanger that is thermally coupled to the ventilation system and the liquid cooling system. The device may determine that the intake temperature is below a threshold temperature. The device may control the ventilation system to cause the air flow to cool a water flow of the liquid cooling system via the heat exchanger to produce a cooled water flow. The device may control the liquid cooling system to cause the cooled water flow of the liquid cooling system to bypass a chiller system of the liquid cooling system to reduce power consumption by the chiller system.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING PROGRAMMABLE MICROCONTROLLER UNIT (MCU) USING TWO-PHASE CONFIGURATION PROCESS
20230124610 · 2023-04-20 · ·

One embodiment of the present invention discloses a two-phase configuration process (“TCP”) to configure a field-programmable gate array (“FPGA”) to include a configurable microcontroller unit (“CMU”) during a phase I configuration and configuring the CMU during a phase II configuration. TCP, in one aspect, is able to receive first configuration data from a first external storage location via a communication bus. After storing the first configuration data in a first configuration memory for configuring FPGA to contain a CMU for the phase I configuration, second configuration data with MCU attributes is obtained from a second external storage location via the communication bus. The second configuration data is subsequently stored in a second configuration memory for programming the CMU for the phase II configuration.
