Robotic magnetic flux leakage inspection system for external post-tensioned tendons of segmental bridges and roadways
A robotic inspection system for corrosion detection within external post-tension bridge tendons includes a sensing device. The sensing device is configured to move along a bridge tendon to detect magnetic flux leakage of the bridge tendon as the sensing device moves along the bridge tendon. In addition, the system includes a location device coupled to the sensing device, where the location device is configured to determine the location of the sensing device on the bridge tendon. The system also includes a control station configured to wirelessly interface with the sensing device and the location instrument. The control station is also configured to generate a bridge tendon condition assessment report from the detection of magnetic flux leakage to identify locations and sizes of discontinuities of the bridge tendon.
Multi-lumen-catheter retractor system for a minimally-invasive, operative gastrointestinal treatment
Improved methods and devices for performing an endoscopic surgery are provided. Systems are taught for operatively treating gastrointestinal disorders endoscopically in a stable, yet dynamic operative environment, and in a minimally-invasive manner. Such systems include, for example, an endoscopic surgical suite. The surgical suite can have a reversibly-expandable retractor that expands to provide a stable, operative environment within a subject. The expansion can be asymmetric around a stabilizer subsystem to maximize space for a tool and an endoscope to each be maneuvered independently to visualize a target tissue and treat the target tissue from outside the patient in a minimally invasive manner.
Blur correction device, endoscope apparatus, and blur correction method
A blur correction device includes a processor including hardware, and the processor obtains an object image from an imaging section, sets any one of a first region where a blur correction is not applied and a second region where the blur correction is applied, based on the object image, finds a third region representing a result of the blur correction applied to the second region, and combines the third region and the first region.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR TISSUE TRACTION
An elongated tissue traction device adhered to target tissue and configured to lift the target tissue away from surrounding tissue. The tissue traction device may lift the target tissue as a surgical procedure is performed, such as resecting or cutting of the target tissue. The tissue traction device may be a bistable spring. The tissue traction device is in a first stable configuration when initially adhered to the target tissue. The tissue traction device may be shifted (e.g., actuated) into the second configuration, such as when the tissue is resected or cut around the target tissue to which the tissue traction device is adhered. In the second stable configuration, the tissue traction device curls and lifts the target tissue from the surrounding tissue.
TISSUE TENSIONING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
The present disclosure relates to tissue traction devices and systems. In one example, a tissue tensioning system may include a filament having a first end comprising an attachment member, a second end, and a length therebetween extendable externally along a catheter. A first tissue fastener may be engageable with the attachment member and with a target tissue. The second end of the filament may be translatable to adjust a tensional force along the filament.
METHOD FOR CLOSING WOUND
A method for closing a wound in a tubular organ using a suture thread introduced into the tubular organ, includes: inflating the tubular organ by supplying gas into the tubular organ; resecting a lesion while the tubular organ is inflated, so that the wound is formed; deflating the tubular organ by discharging gas from the tubular organ; passing the suture thread through a tissue around the wound; and gathering the tissue around the wound by pulling the suture thread passing through the tissue while the tubular organ is deflated.
Method of operating a treatment tool
The disclosed technology is directed to a method of operating a treatment tool for excising a lesioned portion of a body tissue. The method comprises applying a treatment tool to the lesioned portion. The treatment tool includes an elongated sheath having a snare wire disposed therein. The snare wire is configured to be movable forward or backward along a longitudinal direction. Next, forming the snare wire into a loop and tilting the loop in a plane transverse to the longitudinal axis of the elongated sheath with a force tending to push a snare wire portion out of a distal-end opening of the elongated sheath. And finally, placing the loop around the lesioned portion of the body tissue to excise the lesioned portion in a state in which the snare wire positioned transverse to the lesioned portion.
Device for aiding in the positioning and anchoring of an endoscope during gastrointestinal procedures
A device for engaging tissue includes a body disposable around the distal end of a medical instrument, such as an endoscope, and a handpiece. The body includes a primary channel for receiving the medical instrument and at least one arm channel for receiving an arm therethrough. At least one arm extends through the arm channel of the body and proximally to the handpiece. The arm includes an engagement member distally of the body, and may further include a bend between the body and engagement member. The engagement member is movable between a first position not contacting tissue and a second position contacting tissue. With multiple engagement members, the engagement members are farther apart from one another in the first position and closer together in the second position. Movement of the engagement members is controlled by selective and independent movement of the corresponding arms by rotational and/or translational motion.
SURGICAL DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD
The present application relates to a surgical delivery device (10) suitable for submucosal dye delivery or for introduction or extraction of fluidic or gaseous material into or from tissue (T), the surgical delivery device comprising an elongate main body (12) defining an evacuatable chamber (18) internally thereof, a lateral window (20) in the body in communication with the chamber and a guideway (24a) extending through the body and into the chamber.
Tissue retraction devices and related methods of use
The present disclosure is directed to a medical instrument. The medical instrument may include a delivery device and a retraction mechanism including a target tissue anchor and a first stabilizing anchor, wherein the target tissue anchor attaches to target tissue and connects to the delivery device.
