Apparatus and method for biopsy and therapy

A biopsy and therapy device comprising: a needling unit for holding and inserting a biopsy needle; an imaging module comprising an ultrasound probe and an actuator for moving the probe in a reciprocal action; a first arcuate slide; a second arcuate slide in sliding engagement with the first arcuate slide and a linkage to which the first arcuate slide is mounted; said linkage arranged to move the first and second arcuate slides within a vertical plane; said needling unit mounted to said arcuate slide wherein the first and second arcuate slides are mounted perpendicular to each other so as to rotate the needling unit about respective first and second principal axes.

System for assisting in performing an interventional procedure

A system for assisting in performing an interventional procedure includes a first subsystem (1) and a second subsystem at different places, especially in different rooms. At a first place the first subsystem a) generates a first image of a subject (22) while an interventional device (12) is introduced into the subject and b) determines the position of the interventional device within the subject. At a second place the second subsystem a) generates a second image of the subject with the introduced interventional device and b) plans and/or monitors a treatment based on the second image and the already determined position of the interventional device, i.e. the second subsystem does not need to start a completely new position determination procedure, thereby reducing technical efforts. Moreover, the first and second images are generated by different imaging modalities which allows for, for instance, improved image guidance, planning and/or monitoring.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR ASSISTING OR PERFORMING GUIDED INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES USING CUSTOM TEMPLATES

Systems, methods, and devices are provided for assisting or performing guided interventional procedures using custom templates. The system uses pre-procedure scans of a patient's anatomy to identify targets and critical structures. A template is then manufactured containing guide elements. During a procedure, the template may be aligned to the patient and instruments passed though the guide elements and into various targets. The template may be aligned using one or more of, for example, a position sensing system or a live imaging modality to register the patient to the template. The system makes optional use of devices designed to immobilize or track an organ during therapy.

LASER FIBER INTEGRATED MORCELLATOR

Various examples disclosed relate to treatment of BPH with an integrated device for both tissue treatment and removal. The present disclosure includes a device including a sheath for partial insertion into a patient, a laser fiber actuatable for laser enucleation of tissue, an elongated member, and a tissue engagement tool on the elongated member.

PROSTATE INNER LUMEN EXPANSION

Various embodiments disclosed relate to a device for insertion into the urethra for dilation. The present disclosure includes methods and devices including a device for at least partial insertion into a prostate, the device including first and second elongated members each having at least one magnetizable or magnetic element. The first and second elongated members are magnetizable to repel each other to dilate a lumen therebetween.

TISSUE MANIPULATION DEVICE
20230091148 · 2023-03-23 ·

A tissue manipulation device including a securing member pivotably coupled to a handle portion and is pivotably displaceable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. A distal end of a wire is coupled to an end effector of the tissue manipulation device, and the proximal end of the wire is removably coupled to an engagement portion of the securing member when the securing member is in the engaged position and is disengaged from the engagement portion of the securing member when the securing member is in the disengaged position. When the securing member is in the engaged position, the wire couples the securing member and the end effector such that when the securing member is displaced from a first securing member position to a second securing member position, the end effector is displaced from a undeployed position to a deployed position.

DELIVERY AND DEPLOYMENT OF A PROSTATIC IMPLANT

Devices and methods are disclosed for managing and/or treating body tissues obstructing a hollow body lumen, including the prostatic lobe tissues obstructing the urethra, for example conditions including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), bladder outlet obstruction (BOO), benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) and associated lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). A prostatic implant deployment and delivery system may have a controlled release mechanism, a handle mechanism and an irrigation system. The controlled release mechanism includes a disengageable connection between a pusher member and the prostatic implant with a control member. The handle mechanism includes a plunger for advancing the pusher member and an actuator for withdrawing the control member. The irrigation system may define two fluid paths.

Devices, systems and methods for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia and other conditions

Devices, systems and methods for compressing, cutting, incising, reconfiguring, remodeling, attaching, repositioning, supporting, dislocating or altering the composition of tissues or anatomical structures to alter their positional or force relationship to other tissues or anatomical structures. In some applications, the invention may be used to used to improve patency or fluid flow through a body lumen or cavity (e.g., to limit constriction of the urethra by an enlarged prostate gland).

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING MIXTURES

A system includes a connector with a central lumen. A multi-lumen chamber is removably connected to and in fluid communication with a proximal end of the central lumen. The multi-lumen chamber includes a first lumen aligned and adjacent a second lumen. The first lumen includes a first fluid in a proximal portion of the first lumen and a hydrophilic polymer in a distal portion of the first lumen, a first plunger rod within the first lumen to control flow of the first fluid into the distal portion to mix with the hydrophilic polymer in a first state to form a first mixture, and a first port. The second lumen includes a second fluid, a second plunger rod within the second lumen to distally move the second fluid and the first mixture in a second state, and a second port.

Energy delivery systems and uses thereof

The present invention relates to comprehensive systems, devices and methods for delivering energy to tissue for a wide variety of applications, including medical procedures (e.g., tissue ablation, resection, cautery, vascular thrombosis, treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and dysrhythmias, electrosurgery, tissue harvest, etc.). In certain embodiments, systems, devices, and methods are provided for treating a tissue region (e.g., a tumor) through application of energy.
