Bed system having controller for an air mattress
A system can include a bed having a mattress, a sensor, and the data processing device. The sensor is configured to sense a feature of the mattress and transmit readings to a data processing device. The data processing device includes a processor and is configured to receive the readings from the sensor and determine if the readings i) indicate a user presence on the mattress and ii) indicate the user intends to sleep. The data processing device is configured to transmit a command to a peripheral controller responsive to determining that the readings i) indicate user presence on the mattress and ii) indicate the user intends to sleep.
BED HAVING LOGIC CONTROLLER
A system can include a bed having a mattress, a sensor, and the data processing device. The sensor is configured to sense a feature of the mattress and transmit readings to a data processing device. The data processing device includes a processor and is configured to receive the readings from the sensor and determine if the readings i) indicate a user presence on the mattress and ii) indicate the user intends to sleep. The data processing device is configured to transmit a command to a peripheral controller responsive to determining that the readings i) indicate user presence on the mattress and ii) indicate the user intends to sleep.
Patient support apparatuses with data retention management
A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, recliner, etc. includes a support deck, one or more lifts, and a plurality of circuit boards. Each circuit board includes an associated controller and memory, as well as a set of data associated with that circuit board. One of the controllers, such as, but not limited to, a main controller is adapted to automatically store a backup copy of the set of data associated with the other circuit boards. This main controller is further adapted to automatically determine if any of the circuit boards, including itself, are replacements of a previously installed circuit board. If so, the main controller uses the backup copy of the corresponding set of data to supply the replacement circuit board with the data from its previous counterpart, thereby ensuring that the historical data from past circuit boards is automatically transferred forward to their replacements.
BED SYSTEM
According to an embodiment, a bed system includes a plurality of bed devices and a first input/output device capable of communicating with the plurality of bed devices. The first input/output device implements a first operation. During the first operation, the first input/output device receives input of a first set value relating to a first item set in each of the plurality of bed devices. At least one of the first input/output device and the plurality of bed devices implements an operation corresponding to the first set value. Thus, a bed system having improved usability is provided.

Methods and apparatuses for controlling angular orientations of a person support apparatus
A method for controlling an angular orientation of a person support apparatus including a bladder portion containing fluidized particulate material, an upper frame, and a base frame may include adjusting a height of the upper frame with respect to the base frame with at least one of a first and second actuator at respective speeds, determining a dynamic angular orientation of the upper frame with respect to the base frame based on at least one of a respective operating characteristic of the first and second actuator, determining a corrected angular orientation based on the dynamic angular orientation and a floor angle indicative of the orientation of the base frame with respect to horizontal, comparing the corrected angular orientation with an orientation reference range, and adjusting at least one actuator speed when the corrected angular orientation is outside the orientation reference range until it is within the orientation reference range.
VOICE ACTIVATED ADJUSTABLE BED SYSTEM
A voice activated adjustable bed system is disclosed which has a voice activated module capable of receiving a voice command, converting the voice command into a signal, and transmitting the signal, an adjustable bed having a motor for adjusting a portion of the adjustable bed, and a module capable of receiving the transmitted signal and for operating the motor for adjusting the portion of the adjustable bed.

Multifunctional bed, a multi-drive switch protection circuit and its control device
A multifunctional bed, a multi-drive switch protection circuit and its control device, wherein in the multifunctional bed, when a switch group is not triggered to start by a user, all electric signal transmission paths are in a disconnected state, and after the switch group is operated to start by the user, an MOSFET unit is controlled to be conducted after delaying an arc extinguishing time period according to the arc extinguishing time preset by a micro control unit, so that the corresponding electric signal transmission paths are conducted, and a load driving device connected with the switch group runs after the switch group is triggered to start and the arc extinguishing time period is separated, so that a bed component of a bed main body is driven to adjust the corresponding posture.
