SURGICAL INSTRUMENT CONNECTORS AND RELATED METHODS
Connectors for connecting or linking one instrument or object to one or more other instruments or objects are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a connector can include a first arm with a first attachment feature for attaching to a first object, such as a surgical access device, and a second arm with a second attachment feature for attaching to a second object, such as a support. The connector can have an unlocked state, in which the position and orientation of the access device can be adjusted relative to the support, and a locked state in which movement of the access device relative to the support is prevented or limited. Locking the connector can also be effective to clamp or otherwise attach the connector to the access device and the support, or said attachment can be independent of the locking of the connector.
CLIP UNIT AND CLIP DEVICE
Clip unit with a clip having a plurality of arms that can be opened and closed, a distal end connecting portion that is releasably connected to the clip, a proximal end connecting portion that is connected to a power transmission member; and a rod-shaped portion that longitudinally connects the distal end connecting portion and the proximal end connecting portion. In a cross-section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the rod-shaped portion has a first length in a first direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction that is shorter than a second length in a second direction perpendicular to both the longitudinal direction and the first direction.
Deflectable endoscope and method of use
Integrated hysteroscopic treatment systems which includes an endoscopic viewing system, a fluid management system, a resecting device and a controller for operating all the systems.
Surgical system and method for controlling the same
A surgical system includes a robot main body, a slave controller, a display device that displays an endoscopic image, and an manipulation input device. The robot main body includes an entry guide having a plurality of guide bores, an entry guide support device that supports the entry guide, an instrument manipulator that has a surgical instrument provided at a distal end and is inserted into the entry guide, and an endoscope manipulator that has an endoscopic camera provided at a distal end and is inserted into the entry guide. The slave controller operates the robot main body such that the surgical instrument advances from an exit of the entry guide after the endoscopic camera advances from the exit of the entry guide and starts capturing in response to input of a body cavity insertion manipulation received by the manipulation input device.
Endoscope treatment tool
An endoscope treatment tool includes: a sheath; an operating wire in the sheath; a gripping portion provided at a distal end of the operating wire and having one or more wires; a tip attached to a distal end of the sheath; and a resin member disposed at a position adjacent to the tip on a radially inner or outer side thereof, wherein the tip includes clearance grooves extending toward a proximal end of the tip from a distal end of the tip, passing therethrough from an inner circumferential surface of the tip to an outer circumferential surface of the tip, and having sizes enabling the wires to pass therethrough, and at least proximal-end sides of the grooves overlap with the member in a radial direction of the tip and a distal end of the member is disposed farther on a distal-end side than proximal ends of the grooves are.
Multi-channel system
Provided is an endoscope system including an elongated tube with one or more channels extending in a longitudinal direction along the elongated tube. The channels allow inserting of a viewing device for obtaining images from the distal end, inserting of surgical instruments to operate at the distal end, or passing of materials such as air or water. The channel for inserting the viewing device is enclosed or has a cover at the distal end of the elongated tube, such that the viewing device has no direct contact of body tissues, thereby eliminating the need for sterilization. Also provided is a safe and economical method for conducting endoscopy involving one-time use of a tube to keep the viewing device from directly contacting the body tissues.
ENDOSCOPIC CLIP WITH POSITIVE LOCK
A clipping system includes a cap, a clip and a control member. The cap includes a channel extending therethrough. A proximal portion of the cap is mounted over the endoscope such that a distal portion of the cap extends distally past a distal end of an endoscope. The distal portion of the channel includes opposing surfaces therealong defining a tapered portion tapering from the distal end of the cap toward a proximal end. The clip is mounted within the cap. The clip includes jaws movably connected via hinges. At least one of the hinges is biased to move the jaws away from one another. The clip is movable relative to the cap between open and closed configurations. The control member longitudinally movable relative to the cap to move the clip between the open and closed configurations.
Tissue retractor for minimally invasive surgery
Improved methods and devices for performing an endoscopic surgery including a system for performing minimally invasive procedures including a flexible catheter having a working space expanding system positioned at a distal portion, the working space expanding system movable from a non-expanded insertion position to an expanded position forming an expanded region to expand the working space within the body lumen. A tissue retractor having an inner member positioned within an outer member has a plurality of closed loops at a distal portion forming a petal-like structure. The loops are positioned in a collapsed position within the outer member and are movable to an expanded position when exposed from the outer member.
Imaging system includes imaging probe and delivery devices
An imaging system is provided comprising an imaging probe and at least one delivery device. The imaging probe comprises an elongate shaft, a rotatable optical core and an optical assembly. The elongate shaft comprises a proximal end, a distal portion, and a lumen extending between the proximal end and the distal portion. The rotatable optical core is positioned within the lumen of the elongate shaft and comprises a proximal end and a distal end. The rotatable optical core is configured to optically and mechanically connect with an interface unit. The optical assembly is positioned in the elongate shaft distal portion and proximate the rotatable optical core distal end. The optical assembly is configured to direct light to tissue and collect reflected light from the tissue. The imaging probe is constructed and arranged to collect image data from a patient site. The at least one delivery device is constructed and arranged to slidingly engage the imaging probe. Methods of introducing the imaging probe and the at least one delivery catheter into a patient are also provided.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR SETTING POSITION OF A SHEATH IN A SCOPE
Devices and methods for setting position of a medical tool within an endoscope. In an illustrative embodiment, a device includes a housing that is configured to be connectable to a distal end of a scope and a sheath stop component that is configured to limit distal movement of a sheath received within the scope.
