Systems and methods for using smart appliances to provide contextual user experiences

Embodiments of the disclosure enable contextual user experiences to be provided. A computing system receives sensor data from an appliance associated with a first user account, and analyzes the sensor data to identify a product and one or more second user accounts associated with the product. The second user accounts are used to aggregate product data associated with the product, and the product data is used to generate catalog data associated with the product. The catalog data includes one or more portions associated with the second user accounts and is transmitted to a client device associated with the first user account to prompt a first user to enter into a transaction associated with the product. Each portion of the catalog data is selectable to facilitate the transaction between the first user and a respective second user associated with the second user accounts.

Systems and methods for monitoring belt tension and determining belt lifespan in a transport refrigeration unit

Methods and systems for monitoring belt tension and determining belt lifespan in a TRS are disclosed. An embodiment of a self-tensioner can include a sensor connected to a self-tensioner in a belt driven system and a magnet that passes over the sensor to generate a signal. The sensor detects the signal, and the signal in conjunction with an angle of the magnet is converted into a voltage value. The method can include a controller connected to the self-tensioner, the controller converts the voltage value into a tension value, and stores the tension value among a plurality of premeasured tension values in a memory, where the controller compares the tension value and the plurality of premeasured tension values to determine a belt tension condition of the belt in the belt-driven system.

A refrigerator includes a cabinet defining a storage space therein and a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the storage space. The door includes a top recess that is recessed downward from a top surface portion of the door, a microphone module accommodated in the top recess and configured to receive a voice command from a user, a controller configured to control an operation of the refrigerator based on the voice command received at the microphone module, a door cover that covers the top recess a microphone-module mount provided at the door cover, wherein the microphone module is accommodated in the microphone-module mount, and a voice input hole defined in the microphone-module mount and configured to transmit a sound of the voice command from an outside of the door cover to an interior of the microphone-module mount.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A DISTRIBUTED LEDGER FOR INDUSTRIAL ASSET MANAGEMENT

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for using a distributed ledger to track and manage industrial fixture assets, such as shelves, refrigerators, ovens, and air conditioning units. The distributed ledger is spread among multiple devices and, as devices report new data (such as current and voltage levels), additions to the distributed ledger can be made. The distributed ledger may use blockchain technologies, and each device in the multiple device may have distinct wallets which are used to pay for maintenance requests or other actions.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DEVICE MOUNTED ON WINE REFRIGERATOR
20200012247 · 2020-01-09 ·

An artificial intelligence device mounted on a wine refrigerator including one or more divided spaces includes an input unit, a processor, and an output unit. The input unit is configured to recognize a wine label of each space and recognize an image for determining opening or non-opening of a wine. The processor is configured to acquire wine information by using an artificial intelligence model that receives image data acquired from the input unit as an input value, create a wine list table of each space by using the acquired information, and group wines having the same storage condition into at least one group according to the wine list table, and perform a control such that a temperature of each space is set based on the storage condition of the group. The output unit is configured to output a signal received from the processor.

Asset Management and IOT Device for Refrigerated Appliances
20240036539 · 2024-02-01 · ·

An asset management system includes an asset management network that connects various types of refrigeration appliances to an asset manager. At the device layer, IOT devices are connected to the refrigeration appliances and have edge compute capability, including a backup power management function, and a modem for network communication. IOT device ports directly integrate with sensors, switches, and/or serial data controllers of refrigeration appliances. Push notification alarms are initiated on the edge of the network by IOT devices. The network tags operating data by appliance serial, and the asset manager stores the data using serial numbers as primary keys. The asset manager streams data from numerous appliances and uses event driven processing to promptly respond to edge alarms. The operating data keyed by serial number is enriched with proprietary data organized by appliance type and is used to develop new predictive models by appliance type.

SECURE REFRIGERATED BIN SYSTEMS

Disclosed are systems and methods for managing secure refrigerated bin systems. A system receives a request to access a respective compartment of a plurality of compartments in a dispensing device. Responsive to receiving the access request and identifying one or more medications in the respective compartment, a safe temperature range specific to the identified one or more medications is determined, and a temperature of the respective compartment is determined using a respective temperature sensor of the respective compartment. The system determines whether the determined temperature of the respective compartment is within the safe temperature range of the identified one or more medications causes an alert to be displayed when the determined temperature of the respective compartment is outside of the safe temperature range of the identified one or more medications.
