Occlusive medical implant
An occlusive medical implant having a frame actuatable between a collapsed delivery configuration and an expanded implanted configuration, the frame including a generally tubular portion with a threaded insert configured to removably attach to a threaded distal end of a core wire; an occlusive element disposed on the frame; where a proximal portion of the occlusive element and the proximalmost extent of the threaded insert are substantially coplanar with a plane defined by three or more proximalmost extents of the frame in the expanded implanted configuration.
OCCLUSIVE MEDICAL DEVICE WITH FIXATION MEMBERS
An example occlusive implant is disclosed. The example occlusive implant includes an expandable framework configured to shift between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, wherein the expandable framework includes a plurality of strut members circumferentially spaced around a longitudinal axis of the expandable framework, wherein one or more of the plurality of strut members includes a first twisted portion and a face portion. The occlusive implant also includes a plurality of fixation members disposed along the face portion of one or more of the plurality of strut members.
Occlusive medical device
An example occlusive implant is disclosed. The example occlusive implant includes an expandable framework configured to shift between a first configuration and an expanded configuration and a fixation member disposed along the expandable framework. The fixation member includes a first engagement portion and an anchor portion. Further, the first engagement portion is designed to be secured to the expandable framework and the anchor portion extends away from an outer surface of the expandable framework.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL LEFT ATRIAL APPENDAGE (LAA) OCCLUDER
Devices and methods for occluding the left atrial appendage (LAA) with a device having multifunctional capability. The device is delivered via transcatheter delivery into the LAA and anchored using a compliant frame and scaffold, which may be foam. The device further includes one or more electronic systems to provide a multitude of features related to sensing, electrical stimulation, pacing, communication, etc. The device may have an open configuration where an opening in the proximal end of the device allows for delivery of one or more sensors into and/or through the device. The device may be manipulated into a closed configuration to secure the electronic systems therein and close off the proximal end to provide the occlusive effects. The electronic systems therein may then be used for the various electronic and other functions.
SELF-LOCKING SUTURE STRAND
A novel suture strand is herein disclosed. The suture strand includes a suture body, a hole, and multiple barbs. The hole is formed transversely through a first portion of the suture body. The barbs are coupled to a second portion of the suture body and are designed to allow the second portion of the suture body to pass through the hole in a first direction and prevent movement of the second portion of the suture body in an opposite, second direction.
OCCLUDER STABILIZING MEMBERS
A medical device including stabilizing members and a delivery system including the same are described herein. The medical device includes a device body and the stabilizing members coupled thereto. Each stabilizing member has a backing portion coupled to the device body and an engagement portion extending from an outward face of the backing portion. The engagement portion is configured to extend radially outward from the device body. The medical device also includes one or more features configured to control at least one of tissue penetration depth of the at least one engagement portion, extension of the stabilizing member from the device body, and tissue engagement of the at least one engagement portion. The delivery system includes the medical device and a delivery sheath configured to retain and recapture the medical device during deployment to a target site.
SEALING DEVICE AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
A medical device for sealing a defect in a body includes a wire frame that includes a plurality of wires that form a first occluding member and a second occluding member. In some embodiments, a sealing member is in contact with the wire frame. In some embodiments, the sealing member is configured to define one or more openings in the sealing member.
TISSUE REPAIR AND SEALING DEVICES HAVING A DETACHABLE GRAFT AND CLASP ASSEMBLY AND METHODS FOR THE USE THEREOF
Provided are tissue repair and sealing devices, and methods for the use of tissue repair and sealing devices, for use in both minimally invasive surgical (MIS) procedures and open, non-MIS procedures to rapidly repair tissue fenestrations and create a pressure-resistant, watertight seal in a tissue barrier. Tissue repair and sealing devices disclosed herein comprise an integrated graft and deployable clasp assembly and an applicator assembly having a clasp retain and release member that is slidably connected to a folded, deployable clasp. The applicator assembly places a graft on a tissue inner surface and a deployable clasp on a tissue outer surface to secure the graft to the tissue inner surface to, thereby, repair a tissue fenestration and create a watertight barrier.
