SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CLOSURE OF AN ARTERIOTOMY
Arterial closure devices as well as methods for making using arterial closure devices are disclosed. An example arterial closure device may include a proximal gasket configured to be positioned on a first side of a blood vessel wall. The arterial closure device may include a distal footplate configured to be positioned on a second side of the blood vessel wall opposite the proximal gasket. The arterial closure device may include a seal configured to be positioned on the first side of the blood vessel wall between the proximal gasket and the blood vessel wall. A tether may be coupled to at least the proximal gasket and the distal footplate. A securement element may be disposed on the tether. The securement element may be configured to secure the proximal gasket and the seal against the first side of the blood vessel wall.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CLOSING AN OPENING OF A BODY WALL
A biomedical device (100) for closing an opening (1261) of a body wall (1260), comprising: a central component (101), and a plurality of arms (120) movably connected to the central component; wherein the arms (120) comprise an elongated arm portion (121) and penetration means (122) comprising a barb (123); wherein the biomedical device is configured such that: a) the elongated arm portions are oriented in a first direction when the device is in a delivery configuration; b) the elongated arm portions are oriented in a plane perpendicular to the first direction, and the penetration means are located at a first distance (R1) from the central component, when the device is in a deployed configuration; and c) the elongated arm portions are oriented in said plane, and the penetration means are located at a second distance (R2) from the central component, smaller than the first distance (R1), when the device is in a retracted configuration.
Occluder
The present application discloses an occluder, including a distal disc, a waist portion, and a proximal disc which are formed in sequence. The proximal disc includes a proximal disc surface. A proximal bending area is formed at a circumference of the proximal disc surface and bent towards the distal disc, where the proximal bending area surrounds an edge of the distal disc, and a stabilizing wire is further threaded through a free end of the proximal bending area and may tighten the free end of the proximal bending area towards the waist portion.
