Provided is a plant equipment state gathering system which simplifies the work relating to attaching and/or replacing a detection device that detects the state of plant equipment. A plant equipment state gathering system is provided with a detection device, a mobile terminal, a network construction device and a data storage device. The detection device includes a tag unit that can store, in a non-contact manner, at least some setting information that at least includes network information for connecting to the network from the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal includes a tag control unit that allows the tag unit of the detection device to automatically store, in a non-contact manner, at least some of the setting information. When network information is stored in the tag unit of the detection device by the mobile terminal the network construction device uses this network information to determine whether to allow the connection of the detection device to the network.

EVENT-BASED COMMUNICATION IN MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT

This application discloses a manufacturing system including equipment configured to manufacture at least a portion of an electronic system on a printed circuit board. The equipment can output status information corresponding to manufacturing operations for reception by an event device. The event device can maintain and update a state machine representation of the equipment based on the status information, determine an operational state of the equipment state machine representation, and generate an event message configured to identify the operational state of the equipment. The event device can receive an event subscription from a gateway device, and selectively transmit the event message towards the gateway device based on the event subscription. The event device can receive an equipment control signal from the gateway device, and prompt the equipment to perform an action in response to the equipment control signal.

CLOUD BASED DRIVE MONITORING SOLUTION

A cloud-based remote monitoring system and method monitor one or more industrial devices of an industrial facility, including a local data historian located to monitor one or more parameters from the industrial devices, and store parameters in a local storage associated with the data historian, as well as a cloud agent located at the industrial facility to collect data indicative of a past and/or a present state of the industrial devices from the data historian local storage according a manifest specific to the industrial facility. The cloud agent sends the collected data to a cloud platform according to the manifest, and dynamically reconfigures the cloud agent without interrupting the collecting and the sending.

MANAGEMENT APPARATUS AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF DEVICE INFORMATION AND POSITION INFORMATION

A management apparatus acquires backup data from a plurality of devices, and stores the acquired backup data in a database in association with position information of the plurality of devices. The management apparatus restores the backup data included in the database, to the device that is present at a position corresponding to the position information associated with the backup data.

Wireless architecture and support for process control systems

A wireless communication system for use in a process environment uses mesh and possibly a combination of mesh and point-to-point communications to produce a wireless communication network that can be easily set up, configured, changed and monitored, thereby making a wireless communication network that is less expensive, and more robust and reliable. The wireless communication system allows virtual communication paths to be established and used within the process control system in a manner that is independent of the manner in which the wireless signals are sent between different wireless transmitting and receiving devices within the process plant. Still further, communication analysis tools are provided to enable a user or operator to view the operation of the wireless communication network to thereby analyze the ongoing operation of the wireless communications within the wireless communication network.

REMOTE INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION SITE OPERATION IN A CLOUD PLATFORM

A cloud-based remote industrial automation site operation system leverages a wide array of configuration and operational data generated by industrial assets of an industrial enterprise to facilitate remote control of automation systems from a cloud platform. Status and operational data generated by industrial assets on the plant floor is migrated to the cloud platform where the remote site operation system resides. The system performs substantially real-time control functions for one or more plant-side automation systems from the cloud platform based on the collected data and one or more control programs that execute on the cloud platform. In this way, the cloud-based services can allow geographically diverse industrial systems to be collectively controlled using a centralized, cloud-based virtual controller. The system can also provide control backup services, allowing control to be switched from a local controller to the cloud-based control in the event of a failure at the local controller.
