APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING DEVICES FOR REDUCING LEFT ATRIAL PRESSURE
A device for regulating blood pressure between a patient's left atrium and right atrium, and apparatus for delivery the device, are provided. The delivery apparatus may include one or more latching legs, a release ring, a pull chord, and a catheter wherein the latching legs are configured to engage the device for delivery. The inventive devices may reduce left atrial pressure and left ventricular end diastolic pressure, and may increase cardiac output, increase ejection fraction, relieve pulmonary congestion, and lower pulmonary artery pressure, among other benefits. The inventive devices may be used, for example, to treat subjects having heart failure, pulmonary congestion, or myocardial infarction, among other pathologies.
Apical closure system
Aspects of the present invention provide apparatuses and methods for closing an apical hole in a heart of a subject, including a hole-closure device that includes a tissue-attachment portion configured to attach to cardiac tissue around the apical hole, and a collapsible portion coupled to the tissue-attachment portion and configured to close the hole by collapsing inwardly inside the apical hole.
Systems and methods for facilitating closure of bodily openings
The present embodiments provide a system for facilitating closure of a bodily opening. In one embodiment, the system comprises an anchor having a deployed state dimensioned for engaging tissue surrounding the opening, a first tether coupled to the anchor and extending proximally therefrom, and a graft member comprising a first bore disposed therein. The anchor may comprise a width that is larger than a width of the opening such that the anchor is disposed securely within or distal to the opening. The first tether is dimensioned to be disposed through the first bore in the graft member, such that the graft member is advanced distally over the first tether. The graft member then may be secured to the anchor. Various anchor designs are provided along with a supporting framework that may be coupled to the graft member.
Vascular closure device with removable guide member
A vascular closure device configured to seal a puncture site in the vessel wall in a more efficient manner is disclosed. The vascular closure device includes a guide member that extends through a portion of the sealing device and that is removable from the portion the sealing device.
Apparatus and methods for sealing a vascular puncture
Apparatus and methods for sealing a puncture through tissue includes an introducer sheath sized for introduction into a puncture, cartridge sized for insertion into the introducer carrying a sealant, and a locking element for coupling the introducer sheath to the cartridge. When the cartridge is advanced into the introducer sheath, the locking element couples the introducer sheath to the cartridge such that subsequent retraction of the cartridge causes the introducer sheath to retract, thereby deploying the sealant from the cartridge within the puncture beyond the introducer sheath.

LEFT ATRIAL APPENDAGE CLOSURE IMPLANT
A left atrial appendage closure implant may include a support frame including a first bend extending from a proximal collar to a second bend, a first segment extending from the second bend to a third bend, a second segment extending from the third bend to a fourth bend, and a third segment extending from the fourth bend to a distal collar, wherein the support frame is actuatable from a first constrained position to a second flowering position to a third mid-deployment position to a fourth unconstrained position. An implant may include a self-expanding support frame having a circumference and a central longitudinal axis, a membrane disposed over at least a portion of the support frame, and a plurality of anchors arranged into a first row and a second row such that the first row and the second row form a staggered pattern about the circumference of the support frame.

TRANS-SEPTAL CLOSURE DEVICE
An implantable closure device can comprise a self-expanding metal frame comprising a central portion defining a lumen and a plurality of first anchoring arms and a plurality of second anchoring arms angularly spaced around the central portion. The central portion can comprise a sinusoidal-shaped ring defining a plurality of apices. The first anchoring arms can be connected to locations inside of the apices on a first side of the central portion and the second anchoring arms can be connected to locations inside of the apices on a second side of the central portion. The first anchoring arms can be configured to bear against a first surface of a septal wall. The second anchoring arms can be configured to bear against a second surface of the septal wall.
Medical device for modification of left atrial appendage and related systems and methods
A medical device, system and method for modifying a left atrial appendage (LAA). The medical device system includes a tether anchored within the LAA and one or more tissue growth members or occluders configured to be slid over the tether and lodged within the LAA. With this arrangement, a physician may close-off the LAA with a selective number of tissue growth members to meet the varying LAA sizes as determined from imaging information while conducting the procedure.
