Occluder and anastomosis devices

An implantable medical device for sealing and repairing defects in a body tissue or for creating an anastomosis includes a frame and a covering material. In some embodiments, the frame includes a single continuously wound wire that defines an apposition portion, a defect-occupying portion, and a sealing portion. In some embodiments, the tissue-sealing and anastomosis devices provided herein are well-suited for use in the GI tract including the small bowel and colon. In some embodiments, a two-part frame construct facilitates independent tailoring of apposition forces and radial forces exerted on tissues by the two-part frame.

A closure device system for sealing a percutaneous puncture in a vessel wall can include a toggle configured to engage an interior surface of the vessel wall, a plug configured to engage an exterior surface of the vessel wall, and a suture that extends through the plug and through the toggle along at least a first direction so as to couple the toggle to the plug. The system can further include a tube that extends through the plug and through the toggle along the first direction such that a distal end of the tube is disposed distally to the toggle. The tube can define a guidewire lumen that extends therethrough along the first direction. And the guidewire lumen can be configured to receive a guidewire that protrudes from the vessel wall such that the plug, toggle, and tube are slidable along the guidewire toward the vessel wall.

Devices, methods and systems are provided for occluding a left atrial appendage. In one embodiment, a medical device includes a cover portion and a foam anchor portion with a flexible member coupled therebetween. The cover portion is configured to be positioned over an ostium of the left atrial appendage. The foam anchor portion extends between a proximal end and a distal end to define a length and an axis defined along the length of the foam anchor portion. The foam anchor portion defines a curved external surface radially extending relative to the axis such that the curved external surface extends between the proximal and distal ends of the foam anchor portion. The foam anchor portion is configured to self-expand to provide an outward biasing force from the curved external surface such that a circumferential surface area of the curved external surface biases against tissue of the left atrial appendage.

Off-center tissue anchors with tension members

A tissue anchor includes a shaft, a tissue-coupling element, and a flexible elongate tension member. The tissue-coupling element includes a wire, which is shaped as an open loop having more than one turn when the tissue anchor is unconstrained. The tension member includes a distal portion that is fixed to a site on the open loop, a proximal portion, which has a longitudinal segment that runs alongside at least a portion of the shaft, and a crossing portion, which (i) is disposed between the distal and the proximal portions along the tension member, and (ii) crosses at least a portion of the open loop when the tissue anchor is unconstrained. The tissue anchor is configured to allow relative axial motion between the at least a portion of the shaft and the longitudinal segment of the proximal portion of the tension member when the tissue anchor is unconstrained.

AORTIC CLOSURE SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS

An aortic closure device for trans-caval procedures having a deployment assembly having a housing, a release tube, and a delivery tube disposed within the release tube, a tamper disposed within the delivery tube, a sealing element, a suture assembly, and an actuator.

OCCLUDER MEDICAL DEVICE

A medical device includes a device frame, including a proximal portion and a distal portion and configured to selectively transition between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. The medical device also includes at least one cover, wherein at least one cover is coupled to at least one of the proximal and distal portions.

TISSUE REPAIR AND SEALING DEVICES HAVING A DETACHABLE GRAFT AND CLASP ASSEMBLY AND METHODS FOR THE USE THEREOF

Provided are tissue repair and sealing devices, and methods for the use of tissue repair and sealing devices, for use in both minimally invasive surgical (MIS) procedures and open, non-MIS procedures to rapidly repair tissue fenestrations and create a pressure-resistant, watertight seal in a tissue barrier. Tissue repair and sealing devices disclosed herein comprise an integrated graft and deployable clasp assembly and an applicator assembly having a clasp retain and release member that is slidably connected to a folded, deployable clasp. The applicator assembly places a graft on a tissue inner surface and a deployable clasp on a tissue outer surface to secure the graft to the tissue inner surface to, thereby, repair a tissue fenestration and create a watertight barrier.

Left atrial appendage closure apparatus

A left atrial appendage closure apparatus for obstructing the left atrial appendage, comprises a sealing plate and an anchor plate. The sealing plate is a mesh structure and arranged with a choke membrane inside. In addition, the sealing plate adopts a tubular member for distal fixation and is connected with the anchor plate by the tubular member. The proximal end of the sealing plate is fixed with a fastener and is provided with a structure to connect to a convey device. The end of the tubular member at the other side away from the end connected to the sealing plate is arranged with a plurality of supporting rods, which intersect radially to form the anchor plate.

Vascular closure device

Described herein are systems, devices, and methods for closing a perforation in any hollow vessel associated with a mammalian surgical procedure, for example a device for sealing an aperture in a tissue, the device comprising an implant and a delivery shaft configured to engage the implant, the delivery shaft comprising (i) a retaining sleeve, (ii) a release sleeve, and (iii) a handle coupled to the delivery shaft.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR TREATING A TISSUE OF THE HEART

Disclosed herein are embodiments of a method of treating a tissue of the heart, for example and without limitation, a tissue of the left atrial appendage, including twisting at least a portion of a tissue of the left atrial appendage to constrict an ostium of the left atrial appendage, and ablating at least a portion of the tissue of the heart, which can include a tissue of the left atrial appendage, the ostium of the left atrial appendage, and/or at least a portion of a tissue adjacent to the ostium of the left atrial appendage.
