System and method for locating personnel at muster station on offshore unit
A system and computer-implemented method is used for tracking crew members on an offshore unit. A static map is created in software and interfaces with a network of receiver nodes physically installed at a predetermined set of measurements to provide coverage to designated areas to locate and identify crew members, who have or wear Bluetooth beacons. During operations, crew members are located and identified in real-time through the network of receiver nodes installed over prespecified coordinates. Cameras and visual recognition processing can operate in the designated areas. The designated areas can include muster stations for crew members to gather in an emergency or can include designated areas in which personnel are restricted while equipment is operating or moving.
NETWORK DEVICE FOR USE IN A COMMUNICATION NETWORK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A NETWORK DEVICE
A network device includes at least one wireless communication device for transmitting data and/or for storing received data by energy received from a transmitting device by induction. The wireless communication device includes or is connected to an ID memory operable by the received energy, in which at least one UAID (unified address identification) can be stored, and which can be read out or (over)written by the wireless communication device. An operating memory is provided, in which an operating data of the network device, which is at least partially necessary for the operation of the network device, can be stored. A method for manufacturing the network device includes assembling the device, storing primary configuration data, generating secondary configuration data, storing the secondary configuration data in a central processing memory, and overwriting the primary configuration data in the network device with the secondary configuration data.
A ROBOT AND A SYSTEM AND METHOD OF TRANSPORTING MATERIALS USING THE ROBOT
The invention discloses a material transport method between process points of a photovoltaic production line. A mobile robot receives an instruction to transport materials from one process point to another, and the mobile robot and the process point dock based on near field communication to take or discharge materials. In the operation method and system of the invention, the flower baskets are transported from one process point to another on the photovoltaic production line by means of a mobile robot instead of manual human effort, significantly improving the automation degree and production efficiency of the photovoltaic production line, ensuring transportation safety, and reducing labor cost.
Infusion pump system and method
Some embodiments of an infusion pump system may be configured to wirelessly communicate with other devices using near field communication (NFC). In particular embodiments, by incorporating near field communication capabilities into the infusion pump system, user communications with the infusion pump system can be enhanced and simplified.
Parameterizable energy supply device
The invention relates to a parameterizable energy supply device comprising; a wireless communication interface for capturing parameterization data for arameterizing the parameterizable energy supply device by means of a communication network; and a processor which is designed to control at least one operational parameter of the parameterizable energy supply device based on the captured parameterization data.
METHOD FOR CONFIGURING AUTOMATION APPARATUS, AUTOMATION APPARATUS, AND READER APPARATUS
An automation apparatus, a reader apparatus, and a method for configuring an automation apparatus. The method includes: harvesting wirelessly, by a passive electronic tag, energy from a reader apparatus; receiving wirelessly, by the passive electronic tag, configuration data from the reader apparatus; storing, by the passive electronic tag, the configuration data to a non-volatile memory of the passive electronic tag; and reading, by a processor, the configuration data from the passive electronic tag.
PLUMBING CONTROL DEVICE
A system for remotely measuring the characteristics of water passing through a plumbing control device (PCD) includes a sensor within the interior of the PCD. The sensor is configured to measure characteristics of the water to obtain measured data. The sensor is also linked to a microcontroller of the PCD. An antenna board is linked, and configured to transmit power, to both the microcontroller and the sensor. A mobile device is configured to locate the antenna board. The mobile device transmits power to the antenna board which, in turn, transmits power to the microcontroller and the sensor. When power is not being transmitted from the antenna board, the microcontroller and the sensor are powered off.
Intrinsically-safe handheld field maintenance tool with improved help function
An intrinsically-safe handheld field maintenance tool includes a controller, a process communication module, and a display. The process communication module is configured to communicate with a field device using a process communication protocol. The display is coupled to the controller. A user interface module is also coupled to the controller and is configured to receive user input. The controller is configured to detect a user input help request and provide a video output on the display in response to the user input help request.
System, apparatus and method for sequencing objects having RFID tags on a moving conveyor
In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to track objects on a moving conveyor system. In some embodiments, an RFID based tracking system comprises a conveyor system to move and transport objects along a conveyance path, wherein each object includes a near field only RFID tag associated therewith and identifying the object. Each near field only RFID tag is not coupled to a far field antenna such that it is not readable in a far field of RFID communication and communicates only in a near field of RFID communication. An RFID tag reader is positioned to attempt to read the near field only RFID tag of each object. And a control circuit processes reads of the near field only RFID tags by the first RFID reader to determine an order of the objects being conveyed.
