Provided are an equipment inspection system and an equipment inspection method, which are capable of preventing an operator from skipping inspection. The equipment inspection system includes: a host computer configured to accumulate information on inspection for an industrial machine; at least one information medium, attached to the industrial machine, storing information corresponding to an inspection item of the industrial machine; a reading device configured to read the information medium; and at least one portable terminal. The portable terminal includes: a display section configured to display the inspection item corresponding to the information of the information medium read by the reading device; an input section configured to allow an operator to input an inspection result of the displayed inspection item; and a communication section capable of communicating the input inspection result with the host computer.

A method for generating a report regarding prioritizations of industrial automation devices in an industrial system may include determining a first score for each of the industrial automation devices. The first score represents a relative importance of each of the industrial automation devices. The method may also include determining a second score for each of one or more parts of each of the industrial automation devices. The second score represents a relative importance of each of the parts with respect to each other. The method may also include generating the report comprising the parts, the industrial automation devices, the first score for each of the industrial automation devices, the second score for each of the parts, or any combination thereof, wherein the report is organized according to the first score, the second score, or based on a combination of the first score and the second score.
System and method for inspecting machinery
A system for inspecting a machine including a server with a data storage device accessible by client devices is disclosed. The system can include a mobile inspection tool operatively coupled to the server via a communication network. The mobile inspection tool is operable to receive a request to perform an inspection of a machine unit, provide a graphical user interface to guide a user in performing the inspection, receive an identification of the machine unit, and provide questions to the user, and receive answers from the user. The answers can be related to a defect in the machine unit. The mobile inspection tool can be further operable to acquire measurement input, such as a defect value measured by a digital measurement tool, and cause the server to store the answers and the measurement input in the data storage device.
