Method for auto-discovery and categorization of a plants power and energy smart devices for analytics
A power device discovery and visualization system identifies and categorizes smart power and energy devices deployed within an industrial enterprise, and generates interfaces that render customized presentations of a plant's power and energy usage based on data retrieved from the discovered devices. The system also facilitates remote configuration of the discovered smart devices via interaction with a single consolidated interface that affords access to all discovered power and energy devices. The system constructs a device profile for each discovered smart device based on information retrieved from the device, and categorizes each discovered device according to device type (e.g., power meter, IED, VFD, controller, etc.). The system retrieves available historical, real-time, and/or configuration data from each discovered smart device and makes this data available for viewing or modification via the system interface, thereby unifying plantwide power and energy data into a common presentation.
System construction support device, system construction support method, and non-transitory storage medium
A system construction support device includes a storage unit, an operation receiving unit, a setting unit, and an arrangement control unit. The storage unit stores a system configuration file having a base area including a plurality of objects hierarchized, the plurality of objects each being design information on an instrument of a factory automation system. The setting unit sets identification information for at least one of the plurality of objects on the basis of the user operation received by the operation receiving unit. The arrangement control unit moves the object for which the identification information has been set by the setting unit, to a different location within the system configuration file or to an external file, and places a dummy object at an original location of the object moved to the different location, the dummy object including the identification information set for the object moved and information on a destination of the object moved.
CONFIGURATION METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING DATA FROM A FIELD DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a method for configuring step by step for transmission of data from a field device to at least one target system, comprising the steps of: creating a configuration comprising at least one subconfiguration for the field device and a subconfiguration for the target system; transmitting the configuration from the field device to the target system; and transmitting the data from the field device to the target system, wherein the data are forwarded, processed, stored or discarded based on the subconfiguration of the field device in the field device, and wherein the data are processed or stored in the target system based on the subconfiguration of the target system.
METHODS, SYSTEMS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR PLANT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
The invention enables registration and configuration of field devices through a plant resource management system. A server receives device identity information corresponding to a plurality of field devices intended to be communicably coupled with the plant resource management system. For each field device, the device identity information includes a device identifier and device-class information. The server generates a configuration data record for each field device. Generating a configuration data record includes (i) identifying a device-class for a field device, (ii) retrieving configuration information for the device-class, (iii) associating the configuration information with the unique device identifier, and (iv) generating a data record comprising the configuration information and the unique device identifier. The field devices are thereafter communicably coupled with the plant resource management system and device configuration parameters within local memory of each field device are modified based on configuration information from the data record corresponding to such field device.
COMMON DATABASE FOR SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND ON-SITE COMMISSIONING OF AN ELECTRICALLY SWITCHABLE GLASS SYSTEM
An integrated computerized control system is capable of automating phases of electrochromic glass configuration, commissioning and control using a database synchronized between a provider side (e.g. manufacturer) and a customer side (e.g. installation location). The control system may support an on-site commissioning process that better ensures that each particular piece of electrochromic glass is correctly matched to glass-specific information used to configure a respective controller to control the particular piece of glass having particular characteristics.
Navigation system for clean rooms
A method for configuring a clean room (2) for the manufacture of pharmaceutical products and the manufacture of pharmaceutical products includes the steps: selecting a pharmaceutical product for the manufacture in the clean room (2); determining one or a plurality of specific devices (16) and/or one or a plurality of specific materials (18) for the manufacture of the selected pharmaceutical product; and assigning locations for the particular, respectively specific devices (16) and/or specific materials (18) in the clean room (2) and, that is, by using a navigation system (4). The navigation system (4) issues at least one notification (6, 8, 10, 12, 14) associated with a location in the clean room (2) indicating where the specific device (16) and/or the specific material (18) for the manufacture of the selected pharmaceutical product is/are to be placed.
SECURING AN AUTOMATION COMPONENT
The invention relates to a method for securing component data assigned to an automation component (D1, D2, DN), wherein the component data is transmitted to at least one portion of computing nodes of a distributed registry (BN1, BN2, BN3), wherein the distributed registry (BN1, BN2, BN3) functions to authenticate the component data, preferably component data of multiple automation components (BN1, BN2, BN3).
AUTOMATIC SETUP OF DIGITAL TWINS FOR INDUSTRIAL CONTROLLERS
A method for implementing a digital twin for a physical component of an industrial system includes assigning a unique identifier to the physical component, associating the unique identifier with a digital twin representative of the physical component, placing the digital twin of the physical component on a distributed network. The physical component sends the unique identifier to a known resource, which retrieves the network address of the physical twin associated with the unique identifier and provides the network address to the physical component. A secure communication connection is established between the physical component and the corresponding digital twin via the distributed network. The unique identifier may be a quick read (QR) code displayed on the physical component or a bar code displayed on the physical component. Engineering and simulation software for the digital twin may be supplied on the distributed network.
MANAGEMENT DEVICE, MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, DISPLAY METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A management apparatus includes a display controller to display a configuration of a system including a management target device and another management target device managed by another management apparatus such that a relationship between the management target devices is indicated. There is a receiver that receives an operation for obtaining device information relating to the management target devices included in the system, and an acquirer that acquires, when the receiver receives an operation for obtaining the device information relating to the management target device, the device information relating to the management target device by reading the device information relating to the management target device from a storage, and acquires, when the receiver receives an operation for obtaining the device information relating to the another management target device managed by the another management apparatus, the device information relating to the another management target device from the another management apparatus.
