INDUSTRIAL DEVICE MATCHING METHOD AND APPARATUS
An industrial device matching method and apparatus are used for acquiring a corresponding relationship between industrial devices in different industrial data sources to provide basis for industrial data analysis. The method, in an embodiment, includes collecting data of at least two industrial data sources; determining a first relationship between various industrial devices in each industrial data source, and determining a first relationship topology between the industrial devices in the industrial data source; and comparing the first relationship topologies corresponding to various industrial data sources, to determine a first corresponding relationship between industrial devices in industrial data sources, the first corresponding relationship enabling the first relationship topologies corresponding to at least two industrial data sources to be similar. A relationship between industrial devices in different industrial data sources is determined by comparing a relationship topology between devices according to the similarity of relationships between the devices in different industrial data sources.
PREDICTIVE TROUBLESHOOTING FOR ABNORMAL PLANT OPERATIONS
A system and method are provided for recording and then displaying comments containing recommended actions to take in response to abnormal conditions arising during process operations. The comments can be ranked by an operator based on their success in remedying abnormal conditions with the highest ranked actions displayed first.
System and method for synchronizing instrumentation specifications between a process control system and a database
A system and method for synchronizing instrument specification data between a process control system and an external database are provided. A software application automatically connects to the process control system and scans a set of data utilized by the system to detect changes in the data since a previous scan. If changes are detected, the application notifies a manager to accept or reject changes. If changes are accepted, the application updates data stored on an instrumentation database external to the process control system so that the data stored on the instrumentation database is synchronized with real-time data used by the process control system. The system and method provide automated updates to ensure the accuracy of data utilized by users not having regular access to the process control system.
METHOD FOR AUTO-DISCOVERY AND CATEGORIZATION OF A PLANTS POWER AND ENERGY SMART DEVICES FOR ANALYTICS
A power device discovery and visualization system identifies and categorizes smart power and energy devices deployed within an industrial enterprise, and generates interfaces that render customized presentations of a plant's power and energy usage based on data retrieved from the discovered devices. The system also facilitates remote configuration of the discovered smart devices via interaction with a single consolidated interface that affords access to all discovered power and energy devices. The system constructs a device profile for each discovered smart device based on information retrieved from the device, and categorizes each discovered device according to device type (e.g., power meter, IED, VFD, controller, etc.). The system retrieves available historical, real-time, and/or configuration data from each discovered smart device and makes this data available for viewing or modification via the system interface, thereby unifying plantwide power and energy data into a common presentation.
GATEWAY AND METHOD FOR TRANSFORMING A DESCRIPTION OF AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS EQUIPMENT INTO A DATA INFORMATION MODEL
Modern industrial processes demand flexibility in terms of how data flows are structured in an automation pyramid. Instead of only upward and downward flows, the data should be accessible directly at each level of the pyramid. A gateway for facilitating an integration of process equipment within an industrial environment supporting an open industry standard is provided. Field devices having characteristics, capabilities and/or requirements that are expressed by a description language for industrial process equipment such as EDDL are integrated into a contemporary communication environment enabling a direct data access. The communication environment is operated based on a semantically enriched and graph-based data information model such as provided by OPC UA.
TIME-SERIES DATA PROCESSING DEVICE, TIME-SERIES DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND TIME-SERIES DATA PROCESSING METHOD
An event waveform extracting unit (3) extracts an event waveform from time-series data. A co-occurrence rate calculating unit (4) calculates co-occurrence rates of event waveforms among the time-series data. A grouping unit (5) classifies the time-series data into groups depending the co-occurrence rates of the event waveforms. An event information generating unit (6) determines the time at which the periods during which event waveforms occur overlap with each other among the time-series data included in each group, and generates event information identifying an event related to the event waveforms on the basis of the determined time.
MEDICAL ROBOT SYSTEM, DATA ANALYSIS APPARATUS, AND MEDICAL-ROBOT MONITORING METHOD
Disclosed is a medical robot system including medical robots placed at different locations and a data analysis apparatus. Each of the medical robots includes a controller that transmits data on a state of operation of the medical robot to the data analysis apparatus. The data analysis apparatus includes a data analysis unit that generates a reference for determining whether or not the medical robots are normal, based on the data transmitted from the medical robots. The data analysis unit monitors the data transmitted from each of the medical robots in operation based on the reference.

Setting device and setting system for configuring settings for a plurality of machines
A setting device and a setting system capable of obtaining information other than a configuration of a machine, and of configuring an appropriate setting for the machine. The setting system includes a plurality of installation areas, at least one machine each being located at one of the installation areas, and a setting device. The setting device has: an obtaining section configured to, when at least one of the machines is moved from a first installation area to a second installation area, obtain configuration data regarding the configuration of the moved machine and the area data regarding the second installation area; and a transmitting section configured to transmit previously prepared setting information to the moved machine, wherein the setting information corresponds to a combination of the configuration data of the moved machine and the area data of the second installation area.
Selective online and offline access to searchable industrial automation data
An industrial data indexing system facilitates discovery and indexing of plant-wide data residing on multiple different data platforms. The indexing system automatically inventories industrial devices and other data sources located throughout a plant, and identifies available data items on each data source. The indexing system indexes the discovered data items in a federated data model that can subsequently be searched to locate data items or tags of interest. The federated data model records references to data items found on different types of data sources, including but not limited to industrial controller programs, human-machine interface applications, data historians, device documentation stores, inventory tracking systems, and other such data sources. The search system also caches selected portions of the data model to a user's personal device to allow these portion of the model to be accessed locally on the user's device without being online with the higher level indexing system.
