SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR HAIR IMPLANTATION
A hair anchor prepared by a process whereby a plurality of hair anchors are formed from a single elongated metal tube according to some embodiments of the present disclosure may include forming at least two slits in an elongated direction of the elongated metal tube, each slit spanning prospective end portions of at least two hair anchors; and severing the elongated metal tube at an intermediate location along the at least two slits such that a first portion of each of the at least two slits is contained in one of the at least two hair anchors and a second portion of each of the at least two slits remains attached to the elongated metal tube for inclusion in a subsequent hair anchor to be later severed from the elongated metal tube.
Gesture-based editing of 3D models for hair transplantation applications
Methods and systems are provided for gesture-based editing of three-dimensional (3D) models of real targets, for example, for use in planning hair transplantation procedures. According to some embodiments of the methodology disclosed, a 3D control points on an initial default model are matched automatically with the drawing of an outline of a target feature that a user wishes to define and deformed appropriately to quickly and accurately modify and update the initial default model into a resulting fitting model of the real target.
Follicle extraction system and related methods
A follicle container includes a receptacle to hold a hair follicle extracted from skin by a follicle extractor; a conduit, coupleable with the follicle extractor, to convey the extracted hair follicle toward the receptacle; and an injector to aerosolize and inject an irrigant into the conduit while the extracted hair follicle travels toward the receptacle. By injecting an irrigant into the conduit, the extracted follicle is less likely to be damaged on its journey to the receptacle. The irrigant lubricates the interior wall of the conduit and thus reduces friction between the extracted follicle and the wall as the follicle travels in the conduit. The irrigant also washes the interior of the conduit and keeps the extracted follicle moist and flexible. Flexibility allows the follicle to more easily suffer without damage bumps with the wall of the conduit and/or other extracted follicles as the follicle travels in the conduit.
CELL TRANSPLANTATION DEVICE AND CELL TRANSPLANTATION SYSTEM
A cell transplantation device is used to place a graft containing cells into a target region in a living body. The cell transplantation device includes a needle extending in one direction, and a filter unit made of a fibrous member. The needle has a flow channel defined therein and an opening at the tip of the needle. The filter unit is disposed at an intermediate position in the flow channel and configured to retain a graft between the filter unit and the opening when a liquid material containing the graft enters the flow channel through the opening.
Clamping head for epilator and epilator incorporating such
Clamping heads are disclosed with epilators and clamping hairs, and can include a first clamping unit and at least two spring plates arranged adjacent to each other on a plane traversing an axis of rotation of a stopper plate, each of said spring plate having a first spring plate clamping surface, and said stopper plate is adjacent to said first clamping unit and having a stopper plate clamping surface opposing said first spring plate clamping surface of each said spring plate, such that during rotation of said stopper plate relative to said first clamping unit, said first clamping unit reciprocally moves away from and towards said stopper plate such that a first space between said first spring plate clamping surface and said stopper plate clamping surface opens and closes for clamping hair.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REAL TIME MONITORING OF COSMETIC LASER AESTHETIC SKIN TREATMENT PROCEDURES
Apparatus for treating skin tissue with a source of treatment light comprising a display and a source of treatment light along an optical axis. The apparatus further comprising an applicator which comprises; a hand help pathway for the source of treatment light, one or more sources of illumination light symmetrically surrounding the optical axis, and one or more sensors configured to obtain measured light along the optical axis. The apparatus further comprising a programmable control unit configured to; activate the illumination light, receive an output of the information sensed of measured light by the sensors, analyze the measured light received from the sensors, provide a list of skin attributes to the display based on analysis of the information sensed of measured light received, and provide a suggested treatment light regimen to the display.
NEEDLING DEVICE AND DRUG APPLICATOR
A needling device may be used for needling of a subject's skin, and a drug applicator device may be used for applying a drug to a subject's skin. For example, a needling device may be applied to a subject's skin for hair growth applications, or may be used for wrinkle, scar, or tattoo removal. A drug applicator device may be used for multiple drug application purposes such as applying a hair growth compound to the skin of a subject.
Automated hair restoration assembly
An automated hair restoration assembly includes a control unit and a cylinder that is gripped during a hair restoration surgical procedure. An actuator is positioned within the cylinder and a turret unit is rotatably coupled to the cylinder. A plurality of cartridges is provided and a selected one of the cartridges is loadable into the turret unit. Each of the cartridges contains a respective one of a plurality of incising blades, a plurality of hair grafts or an alternating sequence of a plurality of said incising blades. The actuator passes through the respective tube and engages one of the incising blades or one of the hair grafts. Thus, each the incising blades can make a respective incision and each of the hair grafts is inserted into the respective incision.
Identifying follicular units
A follicular unit harvesting process receives images for analysis and identifies and highlights clusters of hair. The analysis includes pixel type determination, pixel clustering, cluster classification and cluster highlighting or replacement. The analysis of the pixels is performed concurrently, and the results of the analysis are optionally used for automated treatment planning.
Pixel array medical systems, devices and methods
Systems, instruments, methods, and compositions are described involving removing a portion of the epidermis within a donor site on a subject, and harvesting dermal plugs within the donor site. An injectable filler is formed by mincing the dermal plugs. The injectable filler is configured for injecting into a recipient site on the subject.
