DISTRIBUTED INDUSTRIAL PERFORMANCE MONITORING AND ANALYTICS PLATFORM
A system for monitoring and analyzing data in a distributed process control system is provided. The system includes a user interface having a set of user controls for selecting and configuring data blocks to create a data diagram representing a data model. The data blocks are associated with data operations, such as data analytics functions, and may be configured by the user for particular instances of general blocks. The data blocks are interconnected by wires conveying outputs or inputs of the blocks, which may also connect data sources to the data blocks. The data sources may include on-line data (i.e., data streams) or off-line data (i.e., stored data) from the process control system. Additional user controls may be used to evaluate the data diagram or convert the data diagram from an off-line to an on-line version.
PRODUCTION LINE DESIGN APPARATUS, PRODUCTION LINE DESIGN SYSTEM, AND PRODUCTION LINE DESIGN METHOD
A production line design apparatus includes: a storage unit that stores facility configuration information that defines a number configuration including at least one or more main facilities that perform a main work in a production line and at least one or more setup facilities that perform an auxiliary work of the main facility, and arrangement pattern definition information including one or more arrangement patterns that define a combination of a movement method of the setup facility that is adoptable and a relative positional relationship between the main facility that is adoptable and the setup facility; and a processor that executes layout candidate generation processing of generating layout information that satisfies the number configuration by combining the arrangement patterns using the facility configuration information and the arrangement pattern definition information.

Systems and methods to enhance machine designs and production rate schedules for minimized energy cost
In one embodiment, a tangible, non-transitory computer readable medium stores instructions that, when executed by a processor, are configured to cause the processor to receive a first set of inputs including a motion profile of a machine, a mechanical design of the machine, or both, generate a number of axis solutions for one or more actuators, drives, and load transmission components based on a model using the first set of inputs, generate a production rate versus amount of energy consumed per part curve for each of the number of axis solutions, and display the production rate versus amount of energy consumed per part curves for each of the number of axis solutions. One of the curves includes a point on the curve indicative of a lowest amount of energy consumed for a desired production rate range.
Method and system for predicting process sequence for a vehicle manufacturing process
A method of predicting sequence for a manufacturing process to assemble a product includes obtaining a target plan for the manufacturing process. The target plan defines a process segment to be performed during the manufacturing process. The method includes retrieving a plurality of surrogate process segments based on the target plan, determining, for each surrogate process segment from the plurality of surrogate process segments, a segment similarity value based on at least one of a textual similarity and a sequence similarity between the surrogate process segment and the process segment of the target plan, and generating a target process defining a process sequence for performing the manufacturing process based on the segment similarity values of the plurality of surrogate process segments and a sequence inference model.

DESIGN SUPPORT DEVICE, DESIGN SUPPORT METHOD AND COMPUTER-READABLE NON-TRANSITORY MEDIUM
A design support device includes: a memory; and a processor configured to execute a process, the process including: receiving a precedence restriction, a work time and advisability of a robot work, with respect to a product; calculating, as a first index, a continuous work number in a case where each work which a robot cannot perform is changed to a work which the robot can perform, on a basis of the precedence restriction and the advisability of the robot work; calculating, as a second index, an arrangement freedom in the case on a basis of the precedence restriction, the work time and the advisability of the robot work; associating information according to the first index and the second index with an object work of the first index and the second index; and presenting the information and the object work.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING PROCESS PARAMETERS FOR A MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF A REAL PRODUCT
A method for determining process parameters for a manufacturing process of a real product. The manufacturing process includes at least one operation of a real device with at least one process parameter. The real device is provided as a virtual device. A setpoint value of the at least one process parameter is provided. The setpoint value is analyzed and an expected actual value is generated of the process parameter which actually occurs during operation of the real device. The expected actual value is determined taking into account influencing parameters, with the expected actual value deviating from the setpoint value or comprising a set of values with a plurality of values. The virtual device is operated with the at least one process parameter as part of a simulation, wherein at least the actual value to be expected is used.
