Derived and linked definitions with override

Flexible graphic element objects in a process plant are configurable both in a run-time operating environment in which a process is being controlled and in a configuration environment. An instantiated flexible graphic element object may be a display view or may be another graphic element included on a display view. A graphic element object may be linked to and/or derived from another graphic element object, and changes to a particular graphic element object may be propagated to its derivations, e.g., according to a distribution policy. Changes to definitions corresponding to a particular graphic element object (e.g., to the definition of a graphic element attribute such as a shape, animation, event handler or property) may be overridden or modified in another object derived from the particular graphic element object. The modified derived object may be renamed and saved separately from the particular graphic element object.

VISUALIZATION SYSTEM

A visualization system includes: a first creation section configured to create, for each product manufacturing unit, a line segment connecting a start or end time of a first step to a start or end time of a subsequent second step; a second creation section configured to identify, based on a change log of a step characteristic factor at each manufacturing step, any change in step characteristic factor observed at the first and second steps, and to create a display object representing magnitude of the change in step characteristic factor or including a region representing an attribute of the changed step characteristic factor; and a display control section configured to cause: to display a line segment representing the time axis, created by the first creation section, and the display object, and to display the display objects over positions of the start or end times on time axes of their associated steps.

An object of the present invention is to more appropriately acquire machining information on a machine tool. A machining information recording device of the present invention includes: a machining monitor unit (state amount acquisition unit) which acquires a state amount indicating the state of machining performed with a machine tool; and a performance management unit (an acquisition condition setting unit, an acquisition control unit) which sets, based on the state of the machining, a state amount acquisition condition for acquiring the state amount and which controls the acquisition of the state amount based on the state amount acquisition condition that is set.

HUMAN-MACHINE INTERFACE SYSTEM AND COMMUNICATION CONTROL DEVICE THEREOF

A human-machine interface (HMI) system comprises a local operation device, a display device, a HMI display control device and a communication control device. The local operation device generates a local operation signal. The display device shows a display image corresponding to a display signal. The HMI display control device generates the display signal according to the local operation signal or a remote operation signal. The communication control device comprises a wireless communication connection port for connecting with a remote operation device. The communication control device transmits the local operation signal to the HMI display control device, transmits the display signal to the display device, and selectively transmits the display signal to the remote operation device. The communication control device outputs the remote operation signal to the HMI display control device when the communication control device determines itself receives the remote operation signal but does not receive the local operation signal.

System and method for presenting a customizable graphical view of a system status to identify system failures

An embodiment of this disclosure provides a method for presentation of system alarms. The method includes obtaining information associated with a plurality of sections in an industrial process control and automation system. The information includes, for each section of the plurality of sections, an operating status, an alarm status, and a location within the system. The method also includes displaying a dashboard including the plurality of sections in a hierarchical format. The method also includes, for each of the plurality of sections, displaying an icon for the section and displaying visual indicators for the alarm status of the section and the operating status of the section.

System and method for managing an industrial equipment system

A system and method for monitoring operating conditions of an industrial installation system including a plurality industrial assets. A plurality of transponders or beacons is located in a facility or location, where each of the transponders defines a zone in which some of the industrial assets are located. One or more mobile devices is configured to identify assets located within one or more of the zones to provide information to a data acquisition and processing system, which monitors the operating conditions of each of the industrial assets. Each of the one or more mobile devices is authorized depending on a location within the facility, the identity of a user, or based on a time of day. Industrial assets that require support, such as maintenance or replacement, are identified. Authorized mobile devices are configured to transmit information to and to receive information from the data acquisition and processing system.

Systems and methods for providing situation aware display generation. One system includes an electronic processor configured to receive, from at least one sensor, monitoring data associated with an industrial system. The electronic processor is also configured to determine, based on the monitoring data, a cognitive workload for an operator of the industrial system. The electronic processor is also configured to determine, based on the cognitive workload, a user interface configuration for the operator of the industrial system. The electronic processor is also configured to transmit the user interface configuration to the industrial system for display to the operator via a display device of the industrial system.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING AND ADJUSTING OPERATION OF A MOVER SYSTEM

A non-transitory computer-readable medium includes instructions that, when executed by processing circuitry, are configured to cause the processing circuitry to receive a first dataset associated with a mover system having a track and a plurality of mover assemblies independently movable along the track, identify a subset of the first dataset associated with a normal operating state of the mover system based on state data associated with the mover system, receive a second dataset associated with the mover system after receiving the first dataset and having a first set of differences from the subset of the first dataset, determine whether the second dataset is indicative of an anomaly state of the mover system based on a relationship between an anomaly signature dataset and the second dataset, and adjusting operation of the mover system in response to determining that the second dataset corresponds to the anomaly signature dataset.
