Techniques for configuring layouts and display view hierarchies and presenting display views in an operating environment of a process plant according to the layouts and display view hierarchies include providing graphical user controls at a graphical display configuration application for defining a layout. The layouts indicate a manner in which divide one or several display screens into one or several display regions, where each display region presents a display view that includes indications of process control elements. The graphical display configuration application also includes graphical user controls for defining a display view hierarchy of the display views by assigning levels of detail to the display views and designating some of the display views as subviews of other display views. An operator application obtains the defined layout and display view hierarchy and presents the display views at an operator workstation according to the obtained layout and/or display view hierarchy.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SUPPORTING MULTI-LANGUAGE DISPLAY VIEW CAPABILITIES IN A PROCESS CONTROL PLANT
Techniques for configuring and presenting multiple languages at a user interface executing in an operating environment of a process plant include configuring, in a configuration environment, a multi-language interface object to indicate a plurality of languages that may be presented at the user interface. The multi-language interface object includes a parameter whose value is changeable, within the operating environment, to indicate a desired language that is to be presented on the user interface. A configuration of the graphical display view that references the configured multi-language interface object is downloaded into the operating environment. Thus, during runtime, changes in the language utilized at the user interface are implemented without any additional downloads from or communications with the configuration environment. Independently selectable user controls may be provided to independently control the language utilized by fixtures of the user interface and the language in which graphical display view content is presented.

In addition, the method includes storing the metrics and the analytics in the data store.

A method includes obtaining information identifying transactions from multiple sources. The transactions relate to multiple functional domains of a supply chain associated with an industrial process. The method also includes storing the information in a data store according to a unified model. The method further includes providing a common user interface for different functional users. The common user interface is configured to display multiple visualizations and reports associated with the transactions. The method also includes obtaining, according to a user input at the common user interface, one or more metrics and one or more analytics from the data store. The one or more metrics and the one or more analytics are associated with the obtained information. The method also includes configuring the common user interface to display, according to the user input, at least one visualization or report involving the one or more metrics and the one or more analytics.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR INTERACTIVELY AND DYNAMICALLY UPDATING A SCHEMATIC OVERLAY
A computer implemented method of dynamically updating an interactive diagnostic schematic overlay comprises displaying a first drawing comprising a plurality of static graphical objects, each static graphical object corresponding to a design element of a complex system and identifying a diagnostic schematic overlay comprising a plurality of dynamic graphical objects, wherein each dynamic graphical object is aligned with a static graphical object of the plurality of static graphical objects. In an embodiment, the diagnostic schematic overlay further includes a plurality of fields, wherein each field may be populated with one or more dynamic graphical objects, and the method further includes determining a design element operating state and/or a design element operating parameter for at least some of the static graphical objects at a first instance in time and displaying, together with the first drawing, determined operating states and determined operating parameters as an updated diagnostic schematic overlay.
