In an embodiment, the input component is incorporated or affixed to equipment of the operator. An Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag is further utilized to control use of a welding sequence based on wireless data communicated between the RFID tag and an RFID component.

The present invention relates to a method and a system for controlling a process of a process plant. Hie system is configured to control a process in the process plant by recommending control operations and perform the control operations. The system obtains the control operations and detects availability of control room operators using historical data related to actions performed by the control room operators, sensory parameters of the control room operators and a status associated with the process. The system provides queries related to the control operations, the plant parameters, status of the process to the control room operators upon detecting the availability. Hie queries are validated by the control room operators. The system thereafter autonomously controls tire control room based on the validated data.

The present disclosure relates to a method and pre-trained rule engine for providing an assistance to correct abnormal event encountered for equipment. Real-time information related to the equipment is received, upon identification of the abnormal event. At least one data is selected from historic data, expert opinion data and equipment standard data associated with the equipment based on real-time state information related to the equipment. The received real-time information is analyzed using the selected at least one data. An assistance is generated for correcting the abnormal event based on the analysis. The assistance is provided to an operator for correcting the abnormal event.

The controller may obtain process alarm information through a wireless communication module, and field device alert information through the process communication module and provide an indication on a display relative to both process alarm information and field device alert information. The controller may execute a sequence of field device maintenance operations on the field device in response to a signal from a user input device. The controller may obtain snapshot information in response to a signal from a user input device.
