Interventional drape comprising a patient interventional drape and a barrier drape
A patient interventional drape for covering a person has at least one fenestration. A barrier drape is attached to the patient interventional drape. The barrier drape has at least one sterile cover. The barrier drape is attached to the patient interventional drape next to the at least one fenestration, thereby providing a sterile procedure area at the fenestration and a non-sterile area at the other side of the barrier drape, whereby a non-sterile person can handle procedural devices such as an ultrasonic transducer in the non-sterile area and provide the procedural devices to a healthcare person in the sterile procedure area when needed without any risk of contaminating the sterile procedure area.
Vacuum-assisted insertion device
Insertion devices, systems, and methods for inserting a needle into a target tissue in an individual in need thereof are disclosed herein. Also disclosed herein are needle cartridges comprising a needle, a plate, and a needle holder. Also disclosed herein are methods of introducing a catheter into a target tissue in an individual in need thereof.
Window dressing for use with ultrasonic aid in venipuncture
A window dressing includes a primary layer having a window for viewing a catheter insertion site. The primary layer includes an adhesive layer on a lower, skin-contacting face of the primary layer. A transparent layer covers the window and adheres to the upper surface of the primary layer. An ultrasonic transmission layer is positioned below the primary layer, where the transmission layer comprises a layer of hydrogel. A support structure has a stiffness that is greater than the primary layer and has an adhesive layer on the lower surface of the support structure. The support structure adhesive layer adheres the support structure to the upper surface of the primary layer.
DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR DELIVERING A DRUG DEPOT TO A TARGET SITE UNDER IMAGE GUIDANCE AND METHODS AND USES OF SAME
A delivery system for delivering a drug depot to a site within a patient, the system comprising: a cannula; a delivery stylet configured and dimensioned to be receivable by and slidable forwardly and backwardly within the cannula including to a position wherein a distal portion of the stylet protrudes beyond the distal end of the cannula; a drug depot retainable by the stylet at the distal end of the stylet, the drug depot being visualizable by a diagnostic imaging beam or modality; and an actuator for ejecting the drug depot from the stylet to a site within the body using fluid pressure. Also disclosed are methods using, and uses of, the delivery system, including for treating scoliosis.
Method for performing single-stage cranioplasty reconstruction with a clear custom craniofacial implant
A method for performing a cranioplasty includes the steps of prefabricating a sonolucent craniofacial implant based upon information generated by preoperative scans, creating a cranial, craniofacial, and/or facial defect, and attaching the craniofacial implant to the cranial, craniofacial, and/or facial defect. The craniofacial implant is composed of a material that is sonolucent and exhibits attenuation of less than 6 dB/cm.
TRIGGER THUMB TREATMENT DEVICES AND METHODS
A device for treating trigger thumb or trigger finger may include a handle, an introducer shaft extending from the handle, a blade shaft slidably disposed on the handle and the introducer shaft, a blade at or near a distal end of the blade shaft, a slider on the handle, attached to a proximal end of the blade shaft, for sliding the blade shaft and the blade distally and proximally along the introducer shaft, and a neurovascular guard slidably coupled with the handle and disposed over at least part of the blade shaft. The neurovascular guard may be made of a material that allows passage of ultrasound waves, such as Ultem, PEEK, PPS, or other polymers.
SAFETY INTRODUCER NEEDLE ASSEMBLY
A safety introducer needle assembly having an introducer needle defining an axial direction, the needle having an outer surface and an inner surface defining a lumen which extends along the length of the needle in the axial direction; the outer surface defined by a wall of the needle forming a needle shaft that extend along the axial direction having a distal end and a proximal end, wherein the proximal end connected to a needle hub and the distal end comprising a sharp bevelled tip wherein the needle has a roughened or echogenic region having echogenic features; and a needle tip protector housed in a safety barrel and slidably arranged on the needle shaft from moving beyond the needle tip and wherein the safety barrel is engageably attached to the needle hub.
