Knotless instability suture anchor construct and system
An anchor construct having an anchor having a length of suture material passing therethrough, the suture material having a loop strand terminating at a first end and a post strand terminating at a second end, a splice loop formed by first end, a sliding construct formed by the first end and the second end, wherein the sliding construct is configured to adjust the relative position of the splice loop and the anchor. The anchor construct can be deployed by passing the first end through a first body and through the splice, creating a locking loop of a first size around the first body, implanting the anchor into a bone hole, pulling the post strand to decrease the perimeter of the positioning loop to a second size smaller than the first size, and pulling the loop strand to decrease the perimeter of the locking loop to a smaller second size.
FORWARD-PUSHING FOR RELEASING SUTURE LOCKING DEVICE
A forward-pushing for releasing suture locking device configured to fix a suture in a locking pin includes a collet and a thrust rod assembly sleeved outside the collet. The thrust rod assembly includes a thrust rod. A recessed portion is arranged at the thrust rod, and a protruding portion corresponding to the recessed portion is arranged at the collet. In a process that the thrust rod continuously moves distally in an axial direction, the thrust rod first pushes against a gradually raised side of the protruded portion, so as to allow the collet to deform to compress the locking pin, and allow the locking pin compressed by the collet to deform and fix the suture; and then the protruding portion is gradually accommodated in the recessed portion, so that at least part of deformations of the collet is restored to release the locking pin.
SUTURE TENSION DISTRIBUTION
A tension-distribution device includes a rotationally-symmetric structure and two or more suture-engagement features associated with the rotationally-symmetric structure, the suture-engagement features being configured to receive one or more suture portions therein. The two or more suture-engagement features are evenly spaced rotationally about an axial center of the rotationally-symmetric structure.
AORTIC LANDING BAND SUPPORT METHOD AND SYSTEM
A method of providing support in an aortic region. The method includes wrapping a landing band around an outside of a portion of an aortic vessel in a vicinity of a sinotubular junction (STJ) to form a wrapped portion of the aortic vessel. The method further includes securing the landing band to form a secured landing band. The method also includes endovascularly delivering a stent graft in a radially constricted configuration into the aortic vessel. The method also includes deploying the stent graft to a radially expanded configuration such that the stent graft contacts the wrapped portion of the aortic vessel. The method also includes connecting the stent graft in the radially expanded configuration to the secured landing band.
Method and apparatus for mitral valve chord repair
Methods and devices for transvascular prosthetic chordae tendinae implantation are disclosed. A catheter is advanced into the left atrium. From an atrium side, the catheter can be anchored to a superior surface of a mitral valve leaflet and a leaflet anchor can be advanced into the mitral valve leaflet to secure the mitral valve leaflet to a leaflet suture. A ventricular anchor is anchored to the wall of the ventricle to secure the ventricular wall to a ventricle suture. The leaflet suture and the ventricle suture may be tensioned and connected by a suture lock to form an artificial chordae.
SURGICAL SYSTEM AND METHOD PERMITTING PERCUTANEOUS INSERTION OF ANCHORS
This disclosure details a surgical system and method, which is permits percutaneous insertion of anchors, and is useful in orthopedic surgical procedures involving fixation of soft tissue to bone. Because the anchors may be inserted percutaneously, the anchors can be inserted into bone without requiring a skin incision and without requiring a pre-drilled bone hole. As such, use of the disclosed system and method leads to a reduction in the number of steps in a surgical procedure, which reduces surgery time, while also reducing the size of openings formed in the skin relative to other known techniques, which reduces recovery times and results in smaller and less noticeable scarring.
SUTURE BASED CLAMPING DEVICE
Systems, assemblies, and methods are provided herein for fastening of one bone to another bone using one or more sutures. The features herein enable such fastening with a more accurate strength, and which can be more easily fastened in-situ.
CLOSING TISSUE OPENINGS
A suture system can comprise a first and a second curved double arm needle, and a needle docking device configured to maintain the first and the second curved double arm needles in alignment with and parallel to one another and at predetermined orientations relative to the needle docking device. The system can include a needle manipulating instrument having a distal portion configured to engage the first and the second curved double arm needles while the first and second curved double arm needles are in the needle docking device, and to maintain the needles in predetermined orientations.
Artificial chordae tendineae and artificial chordae tendineae implantation system
An artificial chordae tendineae includes a chordae tendineae main body with at least one end connected to a fixing member. A side of the fixing member facing away from the chordae tendineae main body is provided with a puncturing connection member. An artificial chordae tendineae implantion system includes a clamping device, a puncturing device including a puncture needle, the artificial chordae tendineae, and a pushing device including a pushing shaft. The puncturing device and the clamping device are received in the pushing shaft. A proximal clamp of the clamping device is provided at a distal end of the pushing shaft. A distal clamp of the clamping device is provided at a distal end of the clamping push rod. A distal end of the puncture needle is provided with a tapped straight tip. The artificial chordae tendineae is received in the clamping device. The fixing member corresponds to the puncture needle.
Soft suture-based anchors
Suture constructs and methods for soft tissue to bone repairs. The suture construct is a soft, suture-based anchor which is self-cinching and has a specific, accordian-type configuration (i.e., with the ability to fold from a first, extended position to a second, folded or compressed position). The suture-based anchor may be formed essentially of a flexible material such as a high strength surgical suture, suture chain, or suture.
