Method and apparatus for re-attaching the labrum to the acetabulum, including the provision and use of a novel suture anchor system

Apparatus for securing an object to bone, the apparatus including an anchor assembly comprising an anchor and an actuation element extending from the anchor, wherein applying a force to the actuation element when the anchor is disposed in a hole formed in a bone secures the anchor to the bone; and an inserter for deploying the anchor assembly in a hole formed in a bone, the inserter including a shaft for releasably engaging the anchor; and a force delivery mechanism mounted to the shaft and connected to the actuation element, the force delivery mechanism being constructed so as to receive an input force from an external source and to selectively apply an output force to the actuation element, with the force delivery mechanism being constructed so that the magnitude of the output force is limited regardless of the magnitude of the input force.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR REPAIRING SOFT TISSUE AND ATTACHING SOFT TISSUE TO BONE

Devices, systems and/or methods for fixating soft tissue to bone are provided. In one embodiment, a repair device for fixating soft tissue to bone with a bone anchor includes a soft tissue anchor and one or more flexible members. The soft tissue anchor includes a base with multiple legs extending from the base. The one or more flexible members are coupled to the base and configured to extend from the base to the bone anchor with a fixed length. With this arrangement, the fixed length of the one or more flexible members is configured to maintain a fixed distance between the soft tissue anchor and the bone anchor such that, as the bone anchor is seated into bone, the one or more flexible members pulls the soft tissue anchor down against the soft tissue to fixate the soft tissue to the bone.

SUTURE ANCHOR AND RELATED METHOD
20230225721 · 2023-07-20 ·

A method and apparatus for securing soft tissue to bone can include loading a suture through an eyelet of a suture anchor. The suture anchor can have a longitudinal axis and a distal tip. An anchor inserter assembly can be positioned in contact with the suture anchor. The anchor inserter assembly can include a sleeve portion and an impacting portion. The suture can be engaged with a suture engaging member on the suture inserter assembly at a location adjacent to the eyelet. The sleeve portion can be translated relative to the impacting portion from an alignment position to an insertion position thereby moving the suture a first distance offset from the eyelet in a direction away from the distal tip. The anchor insert assembly can be advanced to a driven position thereby advancing the suture anchor into the bone. The suture engaging member can be released from the suture.

Tricuspid valve repair using tension

A method of reducing tricuspid valve regurgitation is provided, including implanting first, second, and third tissue anchors at respective different first, second, and third implantation sites in cardiac tissue in the vicinity of the tricuspid valve of the patient. The geometry of the tricuspid valve is altered by drawing the leaflets of the tricuspid valve toward one another by applying tension between the first, the second, and the third tissue anchors by rotating a spool that (a) winds therewithin respective portions of first, second, and third longitudinal members coupled to the first, the second, and the third tissue anchors, respectively, and (b) is suspended along the first, the second, and the third longitudinal members hovering over the tricuspid valve away from the annulus of the tricuspid valve. Other embodiments are also described.

An apparatus comprising a body having an inner cavity. First and second pluralities of anchor pins are positioned within in the inner cavity. The inner cavity includes a central cavity between the anchor pins. The inner cavity includes a media channel outside of the anchor pins. The media channel is in fluid communication with the central cavity through openings between the anchor pins. The anchor pins restrict complete fluid transfer while allowing molecular migration between the media channel and the central cavity. Posts are positioned in the central cavity and tissue may be connected between the posts. First and second ports are positioned in the central cavity and enable tissue to be positioned within the inner cavity. Third and fourth ports are located in the exterior of the body. The third and fourth ports are in fluid communication with the media channel.

Embodiments of knotless button-suture assemblies for orthopedic stabilization are disclosed. The button-suture assembly includes a button having a first opening, a second opening and a center opening. The assembly further includes a tensioning member having two tensioning member ends exiting from the first opening and the second opening of the button and disposed in the proximal direction. The assembly further includes a locking pin mated with the button through the center opening of the button in such a manner that allows a proximal movement of the tensioning member when a pulling force is applied to the tensioning member ends towards a proximal direction and prevents a distal move-ment of the tensioning member when the pulling force applied to the loose ends of the tensioning member ceases to exist.

Fistula treatment device

A fistula treatment system comprises a guide such as a guide coil 1101 which is adapted to extend partially around a tissue tract and an implant element 1102. The implant element 1102 is activated to draw tissue surrounding the tract inwardly.

SELF-PUNCHING LATERAL ROW ANCHOR AND ANCHOR DRIVER

A self-punching lateral row driver. The driver includes a handle assembly comprising a strike surface and retention cleat, a suture cleat, and a handle body. The handle body is rotatable relative to the suture cleat. The driver also includes a driver tube assembly extending from the suture cleat and an anchor assembly. The anchor assembly includes a proximal screw and a distal anchor with a self-punching tip. The anchor assembly is connected to the driver tube assembly. In a pre-deployment configuration, the screw and the anchor are spaced along the driver tube assembly and in a post-deployment configuration, the screw abuts or engages the anchor. The rotation of the handle with respect to the suture cleat moves the screw from the pre-deployment configuration to the post-deployment configuration.

Tissue repair devices

The present disclosure relates to an anchor assembly. The anchor assembly includes an anchor defining a cavity and an opening to the cavity; and a headless insertion member configured for arrangement within the anchor cavity, the insertion member including a body having a threaded proximal portion, a non-threaded distal portion, and a cannulation extending a partial length of the insertion member. Other anchor assemblies, anchors, and delivery devices are also disclosed.
