SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR SECURING TISSUE USING HARD ANCHORS
Systems, devices, and methods are provided for securing soft tissue to bone. One exemplary embodiment of a device includes an anchor, a repair filament, and a connecting filament that is coupled to the repair filament, is in contact with the anchor's distal end, and is effective to connect the repair filament to the anchor such that the repair filament slides with respect to the anchor. The anchor can be rigid, and can include an axial bore extending therethrough. At least one of the repair filament and the connecting filament can extend through at least a portion of the axial bore, and the bore can be sized such that a portion of the filament extending therethrough barely fits to help maintain the connection between the anchor, repair filament, and connecting filament. Embodiments of the systems and devices disclosed can be used in a number of methods for repairing soft tissue.
Devices, systems, and methods for repairing soft tissue and attaching soft tissue to bone
Devices, systems and/or methods for fixating soft tissue to bone are provided. In one embodiment, a repair device for fixating soft tissue to bone with a bone anchor includes a soft tissue anchor and one or more flexible members. The soft tissue anchor includes a base with multiple legs extending from the base. The one or more flexible members are coupled to the base and configured to extend from the base to the bone anchor with a fixed length. With this arrangement, the fixed length of the one or more flexible members is configured to maintain a fixed distance between the soft tissue anchor and the bone anchor such that, as the bone anchor is seated into bone, the one or more flexible members pulls the soft tissue anchor down against the soft tissue to fixate the soft tissue to the bone.
SUTURING BREAKAWAY ANCHOR STRIP
The present invention includes a single molded strip of suture anchors frangibly connected to each other that can be preloaded with a suture and then deployed at the site of use inside the body. This configuration eliminates the need to reload an anchor when multiple anchors are required. Further, this molded strip of anchors can include different variations of a suture anchor or locking device all in the same single strip. The strip would typically be molded from plastic or metal and would offer the additional advantage of being injection molded in a one piece shot which would not only save on cost per anchor but would offer assembly advantages as well.
ARTHROSCOPIC ACL REPAIR SYSTEM AND METHOD
An arthroscopic system for the repair of a ruptured anterior cruciate is provided. Aspects of the invention include a scaffold attached by a suture to an fixation device and inserted into a repair site via arthroscopic equipment. The scaffold and suture are further secured near or at the repair site via arthroscopic equipment having an elongated delivery member that contains the scaffold and suture prior to inserting the scaffold and suture into the repair site.
IMPLANT DEVICES AND FABRICATION METHODS FOR IMPLANT DEVICES
Technologies are disclosed for an implant device that may be configured to repair tissue. The device may include a distal end configured to be connectable to at least a first part of the tissue. The device may include a proximate end configured to be connectable to at least a second part of the tissue. The device may include a substrate configured to form a connection between the first part of the tissue and the second part of the tissue. The device may include a longitudinal axis that may extend between the distal end to the proximate end within the substrate. The device may include at least one preformed channel in the substrate. The device may include at least one suture preloaded at least partially within the at least one channel. The at least one preformed channel may be formed during and/or proximate to a formation of the device.
Soft tissue fixing anchor and soft tissue fixing method using the same
A soft tissue fixing anchor includes: an anchor member which is inserted to the bone cavity interior and prevented from moving in the bone cavity interior by the artificial joint when the artificial joint is implanted; and a suture of which one end portion is fixed to the anchor member and the other end portion is exposed to a bone cavity exterior of the bone so as to be sutured to the soft tissue.
SURGICAL FIXATION DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A suspension fixation device includes a first fastener assembled to an adjustable loop of suture. The second fastener has a slot configured to allow the second fastener to be assembled to the suture loop once the suture loop has been passed through a drill hole. The second fastener further comprises a suture bridge formed through a post of the fastener for housing the suture loop while the slot is configured to prohibit the suture loop from migrating back out of the suture bridge.
Devices and methods for tissue repair
A tissue repair construct having first and second implants coupled via a flexible element is provided. The flexible element forms an adjustable loop closed with a sliding knot, and has first and second free ends extending from the knot formed by wrapping the second end around the first end. The second implant can have a changeable configuration. The construct can be placed within a surgical site in a patient's body such that the first implant is passed into a bone adjacent to soft tissue and the second implant is disposed on an opposed side of the soft tissue. The first free end of the flexible element is configured to be tensioned to decrease a size of the loop and thereby change the configuration of the second implant and to thereby cause at least the second implant to move towards the first implant.
Method of attaching a surgical suture inside of a pelvis
A method of attaching a surgical suture inside of a pelvis includes moving an anchor deployment component relative to the anchor delivery component, pushing an anchor out of the anchor delivery component and into tissue inside of the pelvis, and engaging anchor with the tissue inside of the pelvis.
Surgical tool and method of use
A surgical tool incorporates a suture guide with and ananchor driver supporting an anchor where the anchor is maintained at a distance from the suture guide until release of a detent mechanism. Thereafter, the anchor is allowed to move into proximity to the suture guide, fixing a suture supported by the suture guide to a substrate, the entire procedure being achievable with a single hand.
