Production and measurement of workpieces
A method of producing a workpiece which is successively loaded onto two or more machine tools and one or more machining operations are performed to produce one or more features of the workpiece on each machine tool. After the machining operations on both or all of the machine tools, the workpiece is passed to a common dimensional inspection station. At the common dimensional inspection station, dimensions of the features of the workpiece produced by the machining operations on the two or more machine tools are measured. Based on the results of measuring the dimensions of the features, two or more output signals are produced which respectively relate to the performance of the two or more machine tools which performed the machining operations. Each of the output signals is fed back to the machine tool which performed the respective operation, to adjust the production process of each corresponding machine tool.
Surface treatment processing method and surface treatment processing device
A surface treatment processing method includes: a shot processing step of performing shot processing of shooting shot media at a treatment target; a first inspection step of nondestructively inspecting at least one of a surface side state and an external dimension of the treatment target subjected to the shot processing, evaluating that the treatment target is passed when an inspection result is within a first normal range set in advance, evaluating that the treatment target is failed when the inspection result is out of a first allowable range set in advance to include the first normal range, and evaluating that the treatment target is to be additionally processed when the inspection result is out of the first normal range but within the first allowable range; and an additional processing step of performing the shot processing again on the treatment target which is evaluated to be additionally processed.
Press and process for operating same
A press and a process for operating it, has an upper tool and a lower tool for shaping a workpiece and a work unit including a press drive and/or a drawing device, is controllable by a controller, to perform the shaping process. The controller outputs, to the work unit, press process values, which define the sequence of events of the shaping process. Workpiece parameters characterize, for example, the material and/or the shape and/or at least one dimension and/or quality of the workpiece, which still has to be shaped or has already been shaped. The controller is assigned a composition matrix which contains, for each defined workpiece parameter and for each defined press process value, an individually changeable function, to describe the relationship between every one of the defined workpiece parameters and the defined press process values. This composition matrix allows a quick and rapid adjustment and adaptation of the press.
Industrial process control coordination and implementation utilizing a facility prescription from a remote server
Systems and methods for industrial process control coordination and implementation are disclosed. In some embodiments, a facility coordinator may be configured to: receive a facility prescription from a remote server; translate the facility prescription into one or more commands understood by one or more of a plurality of controllable devices; communicate the one or more commands to the one or more controllable devices; receive sensor data from one or more of a plurality of environmental sensors; determine based on the sensor data whether an aspect of an environment or one or more of the controllable devices violates one or more constraints; and in the event operational, safety, or physical constraints are or will soon be violated, determine a corrective action and send corrective action commands to one or more of the plurality controllable devices.
Systems, Methods, and Media for Manufacturing Processes
A manufacturing system is disclosed herein. The manufacturing system includes one or more stations, a monitoring platform, and a control module. Each station of the one or more stations is configured to perform at least one step in a multi-step manufacturing process for a component. The monitoring platform is configured to monitor progression of the component throughout the multi-step manufacturing process. The control module is configured to dynamically adjust processing parameters of each step of the multi-step manufacturing process to achieve a desired final quality metric for the component.
Surface treatment processing method and surface treatment processing device
A first inspection step nondestructively inspects a surface side state of a treatment target to be subjected to shot processing of shooting shot media at the treatment target and evaluates that the treatment target is failed when an inspection result deviates from a first allowable range predetermined. A condition setting step sets a shot processing condition in response to the inspection result of the first inspection step for the treatment target evaluated as not failed in the first inspection step. A shot processing step performs shot processing of shooting shot media at the treatment target evaluated as not failed in the first inspection step in the shot processing condition set in the condition setting step. A second inspection step after the shot processing step nondestructively inspects a surface side state of the treatment target.

METHOD FOR CORRECTING TOOL PARAMETERS OF A MACHINE TOOL FOR MACHINING OF WORKPIECES
A method for correcting tool parameters of a machine tool for machining workpieces includes recording measurement values of measured characteristics as actual values of at least one workpiece machined with the machine tool. The measurement values are compared with the default set values of the workpiece. The measurement values of at least two measured characteristics are recorded from at least two parameters of at least one measured characteristic and/or from at least one measured characteristic and from at least one parameter. An average for a tool correction value is calculated from the measurement values and the corresponding set values, with which a correction of the machine tool is performed.
