TISSUE ANCHOR ASSEMBLY WITH AN ADJUSTMENT BUTTON
20210275164 · 2021-09-09 ·

A tissue anchor assembly comprises a tissue anchor; a suture; and an adjustment button coupled with the suture. The adjustment button is adapted to adjust tension relative in the suture. When tension is applied to a second suture section trailing away from the tissue anchor, the adjustment button is engaged with the second suture section through locking splines and the adjustment button slides along a portion of the suture to increase a distance between the adjustment button and the tissue anchor. When tension is applied to a first suture section trailing away from the tissue anchor, the adjustment button moves in a direction towards the tissue anchor to reduce a distance between the adjustment button and the tissue anchor.

An anchor-storage device comprises (i) a housing, shaped to define a channel having an anchor-storage zone and an opening configured to provide access for an anchor driver to the anchor-storage zone; and (ii) a retaining member. A tissue anchor is stored in the anchor-storage zone and is slidable through the channel. The retaining member (a) has a retaining state in which the retaining member is configured to retain the tissue anchor in the anchor-storage zone, and (b) is configured, by moving in response to a proximally-directed force applied to the tissue anchor, to allow the tissue anchor to leave the anchor-storage zone in response to the proximally-directed force. The proximally-directed force is greater than a pre-determined threshold force. Other embodiments are also described.

A tissue anchor, tissue anchor assembly, and tissue anchor system is disclosed.

ENDOSCOPIC TISSUE APPROXIMATION SYSTEM AND METHODS

A deployment system includes a sheath, a shaft having a handle positioned at its proximal end, a micro motor having a motor shaft at the shafts distal end, a detachable helical first suture anchor positioned at the motor shafts distal end and an elongate suture fixedly coupled to the suture anchor. The deployment system can be positioned at a first tissue, and the motor shaft rotated to advance the helical first suture anchor into engagement with the first tissue. The motor shaft is detached from the first suture anchor thereby deploying it at the first tissue location. The deployment system can be reloaded with multiple suture anchors to deploy at multiple tissue locations. The suture extending between the anchors can then be drawn together to reconfigure the coupled tissue.

Knotless suture anchor and methods of use

Various devices, systems and methods for knotless suturing of tissue are disclosed. These devices allow sutures to be anchored to bone, and more specifically provide a suture anchor which eliminates the need for knotting the suture. Thus, damaged tissue may be re-attached to a substrate tissue. The anchors have a minimum of moving parts may be suited to being a single molded polymer construction. The anchors will find particular utility in hip and shoulder arthroscopy, e.g. labral re-attachment and similar procedures.

An anchor-handling device comprises a housing shaped to define a channel having an anchor-storage zone and a proximal opening. A tissue anchor is stored in the anchor-storage zone. The anchor-handing device is configured such that, while the tissue anchor is stored in the anchor-storage zone, the tissue anchor is movable out of the anchor-storage zone toward the proximal opening in response to a proximally-directed force being applied to the tissue anchor. The anchor-handling device comprises an element that serves as an indicator of movement of the tissue anchor out of the anchor-storage zone toward the proximal opening by the element moving in response to the proximally-directed force. Other embodiments are also described.
