FIXATION DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENGAGING TISSUE
System for fixation of leaflets of a heart valve including a delivery catheter having an elongated shaft, a proximal end portion and a distal end portion configured to be positioned proximate native leaflets of a heart valve from a remote vascular access point, the delivery catheter further includes a rotatable actuator rod having a threaded fastener at a distal end thereof, and a fixation device releasably coupled by a threaded connection to the threaded fastener of the actuator rod. The fixation device includes a first arm moveable between a closed position and an open position, a second arm moveable between a closed position and an open position. The fixation device further includes a first gripping element movable relative to the first arm in the open position, the first gripping element biased toward the first arm to capture a first leaflet of the heart valve therebetween, and a second gripping element movable relative to the second arm in the open position, the second gripping element biased toward the second arm to capture a second leaflet of the heart valve therebetween. The first gripping element and the second gripping element each includes a plurality of barbs extending therefrom, the plurality of barbs of each of the first gripping element and the second gripping element being aligned transversely in at least one row. The fixation device further includes a covering disposed on each of the first gripping element and the second gripping element, wherein the plurality of barbs of the first gripping element and the second gripping element, respectively, protrude through the covering.
Devices, systems and methods for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia and other conditions
Extra-urethral implants and methods of use are disclosed. Implants can treat disorders or diseases of the prostate by, for example, enlarging the lumen of the prostatic urethra.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR CLOSURE OF OPENINGS IN TISSUE
The present disclosure relates to the field of tissue closures including medical devices that close openings in tissue during a surgical procedure. In particular, the present disclosure relates to devices that transition from a constrained to an unconstrained configuration to engage tissue on opposing sides of a tissue opening, and hold opposing tissue portions together to maintain the opening in a closed configuration.
Anchor delivery system
A system and associated method for manipulating tissues and anatomical or other structures in medical applications for the purpose of treating diseases or disorders or other purposes. In one aspect, the system includes a delivery device configured to deploy and implant anchor devices for such purposes.
Devices, systems and methods for retracting, lifting, compressing, supporting or repositioning tissues or anatomical structures
Devices, systems and methods for retracting, lifting, compressing, supporting or repositioning tissues, organs, anatomical structures, grafts or other structures within the body of human or animal subjects for the purpose of treating a diseases or disorders and/or for cosmetic or reconstructive purposes and/or for research and development purposes or other purposes.

Extra-urethral implants and methods of use are disclosed. Implants can treat disorders or diseases of the prostate by, for example, enlarging the lumen of the prostatic urethra.
IMPROVED TUBING FOR MANUFACTURING EXPANDABLE DEVICES
An intra-corporal medical device, a medical device and a method of making an intra-corporal medical device. In one form, the device is formed from one or more tubes with a non-axisymmetric cross-sectional profile such that tines formed in a relatively planar surface of such a device exhibit the ability to accept larger deformations that will have improved mechanical properties, including a lower tendency to buckle under bending forces. In one form, the tube or tubes are made from shape memory materials such as Nitinol that can be expanded or bent in various directions in order to take advantage of shape memory effect, linear and non-linear pseudoelasticity and strain hardened cold work.
Synthetic chord for cardiac valve repair applications
Synthetic chord devices and methods for using the same for connecting tissues are provided. Aspects of the synthetic chord devices include a first flexible connector having first and second ends. Located at the first end is an attachment element that includes a tissue piercing member coupled to a securing member. The securing member includes an elongated shape memory coil that is present in a removable sheath configured to maintain elongation of the shape memory coil. A reinforcing element is located at the second end. The devices and methods of the invention find use in a variety of applications, such as cardiac valve, e.g., mitral valve, repair.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RESHAPING A HEART VALVE ANNULUS
Anchors for securing an implant within a body organ and/or reshaping a body organ are provided herein. Anchors are configured for deployment in a body lumen or vasculature of the patient that are curved or conformable to accommodate anatomy of the patient. Such anchors can include deformable or collapsible structures upon tensioning of a bridging element in a lateral direction, or segmented tubes that can be adjusted by tightening of one or more tethers extending therethrough. Such anchors can be used as a posterior anchor in a blood vessel in implant systems having a tensioned bridging element extending between the posterior anchor and an anterior anchor deployed at another location within or along the body organ. Methods of deploying such anchors and use of multiple anchors or multiple bridging elements to a single anchor are also provided.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR PERCUTANEOUS TRICUSPID VALVE REPAIR
A first end of a wire is transluminally penetrated through tissue at a first cardiovascular site of a subject. A capture device is transluminally advanced into the subject, and is used to capture the first end of the wire and pull the first end of the wire away from the first cardiovascular site. From the first end of the wire, a first anchor is tracked along the wire, and is then anchored to the tissue at the first cardiovascular site. A second anchor is anchored to tissue at a second cardiovascular site. Subsequently, the first and second cardiovascular sites are drawn together by applying tension between the first and second anchors. Other embodiments are also described.
