METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING A U-SHAPED PORTION OF AN ELONGATE FLEXIBLE ELEMENT RELATIVE TO A HUMAN BODY TISSUE
20210196259 · 2021-07-01 ·

An apparatus and a method of engaging a U-shaped portion of an elongate flexible element with the apparatus. The apparatus has a body with an anchoring part, a channel extending up to the anchoring part, and an entry opening to the channel. With the U-shaped portion and body in an operative relationship, wherein the U-shaped portion straddles the anchoring part, the elongate flexible element can be tensioned to draw a side of the body against tissue. With the U-shaped portion straddling the anchoring part, the body can be reconfigured to change the size and/or shape of the entry opening and/or channel to avoid separation of part or all of the U-shaped portion from the body.

Knotless suture anchor and methods of use

Various devices, systems and methods for knotless suturing of tissue are disclosed. These devices allow sutures to be anchored to bone, and more specifically provide a suture anchor which eliminates the need for knotting the suture. Thus, damaged tissue may be re-attached to a substrate tissue. The anchors have a minimum of moving parts may be suited to being a single molded polymer construction. The anchors will find particular utility in hip and shoulder arthroscopy, e.g. labral re-attachment and similar procedures.

Fenestrated locking suture anchor assembly

The technology includes an anchor assembly for tissue repair having an open helical coil sleeve and a tip structure. The tip structure includes an aperture for passing a suture and a suture capture member for capturing a suture. The technology also includes an anchor driver for installing an anchor into bone. The anchor driver includes an outer shaft and a sleeve advancement member for advancing the sleeve as well as an inner shaft and a suture capture advancement member for advancing the suture capture member. The technology also includes a system for tissue repair having an anchor assembly and an anchor driver for installing the anchor assembly into bone.

Tissue capturing bone anchor

A bone anchor configured for use in anchoring an implanting portion to an anchor point. A bone anchor can be of particular use in anchoring soft tissue to a bone. A bone anchor can have a wire loop and a suture. The wire loop of the bone anchor can be configured to capture a suture and to pull a portion of the suture through a hole in the anchor body aiding in anchoring an item, such as tissue to a bone. Methods of using the bone anchor with a suture and a wire loop to attach an item are disclosed

TENODESIS FIXATION DEVICE
20210161647 · 2021-06-03 · ·

A surgical fixation device and driver for fixing soft tissue in a desired position relative to bone. The fixation device includes a pronged upper portion having two arms extending proximally therefrom to a top surface of the upper portion. Each of the two arms has a side and the sides are opposing sides. The fixation device also includes a flange extending outwardly around each of the opposing sides. The fixation device additionally has a pronged lower portion having two legs extending distally therefrom with a space between the two legs. The upper portion of the fixation device is configured to attach to a surgical driver. The surgical driver has a handle with a body and a shaft extending distally therefrom. A driver interface at a distal end of the shaft is configured for attachment to the fixation device. The driver additionally includes a rotatable adjustment mechanism within the body.

ANCHORING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECURING A SUTURE TO A PRE-DRILLED BORE

An anchoring system can use an implant delivery device to deploy an implant into a pre-drilled bore, to secure one or more sutures between a threaded outer surface of an implant body and a wall of the bore. The implant delivery device can controllably rotate the implant about its longitudinal axis. The implant can further include a distal member positioned distal to the implant body and freely rotatable about the longitudinal axis. The implant delivery device can include a finger extending distally from a distal end of an inner shaft. The implant delivery device can controllably translate a wire between a distally extended position, at which the wire can form a closed loop with the finger and a distal end of the inner shaft, and a proximally retracted position, at which the wire can be at least partially retracted into the distal end of the inner shaft.

Methods, systems, and devices for instability repair

Various exemplary methods, systems, and devices for instability repair are provided. In general, a surgical device can be configured to drill a hole in bone and to deliver a suture anchor into the hole. In this way, a single surgical device can drill the hole and deliver the anchor into the hole for securing soft tissue to the bone. The anchor can be configured to allow the soft tissue to be secured to the bone using a suture coupled to a suture anchor without the need to knot or otherwise tie the suture to secure the soft tissue in place relative to the bone.

Device and method for fixating a suture anchor with a suture or a headed anchor in hard tissue
10987096 · 2021-04-27 · ·

A device and method for fixating soft tissue to hard tissue with the aid of a suture anchor and a suture or with the aid of a headed anchor, wherein the anchor is forced into the hard tissue and then anchored therein by in situ liquefaction of a material having thermoplastic properties. The device includes a vibration tool and the anchor and possibly a support element, wherein the anchor includes an anchor foot and a thermoplastic sleeve. The thermoplastic sleeve includes the material having thermoplastic properties. The anchor foot has a distal end suitable for being forced into hard tissue and it is connected to the distal end of the vibration tool and the thermoplastic sleeve sits on a proximal face of the anchor foot, the vibration tool and/or a proximal portion of the anchor foot extending into or through the thermoplastic sleeve.
