Suture anchor systems with spring loaded suture anchors
An exemplary method includes fixating a first suture anchor in a first bone. The first suture anchor has a resilient member and a flexible strand attached to the resilient member. The flexible strand is passed to a second suture anchor, and tensioned. The second suture anchor is fixated in a second bone to secure the flexible strand to the second bone.
SUTURE ANCHOR INSERTION ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF USE
Suture anchor insertion assemblies include needles pre-attached to suture or suture tape, which reside within a housing of an inserter. The suture extends around a suture bridge of a suture anchor having at least one rib extending through the internal volume. An outer surface of the shaft of the inserter includes a groove sized to receive both the rib of the suture anchor and the length of suture while still allowing the suture to slide relative to the inserter.
KNOTLESS ANCHOR DRIVE SYSTEM
A suture anchor assembly is disclosed herein. The assembly includes an anchor body for anchoring within a target tissue, the anchor body including a proximal connecting portion. The assembly also includes an insertion instrument for inserting the anchor body within the target tissue. The insertion instrument includes a connecting portion at a distal end thereof that interdigitates with the anchor body connecting portion to provide rotational stability between the anchor body and insertion instrument. The connecting portions, when assembled, forms a tubular shape with a shared inner diameter and a shared outer diameter. The shared inner diameter defines a cannulation that received a plug therethrough. The plug may axially advance into the anchor body, to knotlessly lock a suture of the suture anchor assembly.

A method of forming a channel in a bone, the method comprising: providing a first bore in the bone; and forming, a second bore in the bone at a predefined angle from said first bore, using said first bore as a reference point for defining the location of the second bore in the bone, wherein the first and second bores intersect in the bone.
FULLY-THREADED BIOABSORBABLE SUTURE ANCHOR
A suture anchor includes an anchor body having a longitudinal axis, a proximal end, and a distal end. The anchor body includes a central bore located at the proximal end and a passage extending between the central bore and the distal end. The central bore has a first dimension substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and the passage has a second dimension substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis less than the first dimension. The suture anchor includes a flexible strand extending through the passage, and a first knot formed in the flexible strand at the distal end has a third dimension greater than the second dimension to prevent the first knot from passing through the passage. A closed loop is positionable at least partially within the central bore and formed entirely by the flexible strand without forming any additional knots on the flexible strand extending proximally from the first knot.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECURING TISSUE TO BONE
Methods and devices for securing soft tissue to a rigid material such as bone. A tissue capture anchor is described that comprises an anchor body and a spreader such that tissue may be captured or compressed between outside surfaces on the anchor and spreader and inside surfaces of a bone hole to secure the tissue within the hole. A bone anchor is described that comprises an anchor body with expandable tines and a spreader that expands the tines into bone. The spreader captures tissue via a suture loop at the distal end of the bone anchor. Also described is an inserter that can be used to insert the anchor into bone and move the spreader within the anchor to expand the anchor and capture the tissue between the anchor and the bone. Methods are described that allow use of single bone anchor to secure tissue to bone or also to use more than one bone anchor to provide multiple lengths of suture material to compress a large area of soft tissue against bone.
TISSUE REPAIR ASSEMBLY AND SYSTEM WITH SOFT ANCHORING IMPLANT
Tissue repair systems which use knotless all-suture anchors and have the ability to lock multiple repair sutures within the anchor construct. The anchor construct includes a tension suture wrapped or looped upon itself to create an open eyelet, through which multiple repair sutures originating in soft tissue are passed. The location of the eyelet may be anywhere inside the all-suture anchor or adjacent to the exterior of the anchor body. Tensioning of the tension suture causes the eyelet to restrict movement of the repair sutures and secures them within or against the anchor body.
Systems and methods for repairing soft tissues using nanofiber material
An anchoring system is a combination of a nanofiber scaffold material and an arthroscopically deployable suture anchor. The anchor is deployed into a bone tunnel using common techniques. The nanofiber material extends out of the proximal end of the implant, once deployed. The implant also includes pre-loaded sutures or has the ability to accept and lock sutures to the implant. For an implant pre-loaded with suture, the implant is placed into the bone, the material is deployed above the anchor onto the surface of the bone, suture is passed through the soft tissue, and knots are tied to secure the tissue against the bone, sandwiching the material between the bone and tissue, to provide a pathway for cells from the bone marrow to the soft tissue-bone interface, promote the healing response, provide a biomimetic structure that cells readily adhere to, and create a larger healing footprint.
SURGICAL TOOL AND METHOD OF USE
A surgical tool incorporates a suture guide and anchor driver supporting an anchor where the anchor is maintained at a distance from the suture guide until release of a detent mechanism. Thereafter, the anchor is allowed to move into proximity to the suture guide, fixing a suture supported by the suture guide to a substrate, the entire procedure being achievable with a single hand.

A suture anchor method including a suture anchor and a suture anchor drive. The suture anchor is positionable on a rod of the suture anchor drive. The rod defines an awl for forming a hole in a bone. The suture anchor drive further has an impactor for moving the suture anchor along the rod between a retracted position and an advanced position so as to implant the suture anchor in the bone with the awl positioned in the bone.
