LOCKING SUTURE CONSTRUCT
A locking suture construct having suture material with a first end and a second end, each attached to a first body in a slidable manner, a constricting member formed in the second end of the suture material, and a bight in the suture material between the first end and the second end. The bight can be pulled through the constricting member around a second body to create a locking loop. The first end and the second end are passed through the locking loop. Pulling the first end increases a perimeter of the locking loop and moves the constricting member toward the second body. When the constricting member reaches the second body, pulling the first end reduces the perimeter of the locking loop and moves/rotates the constricting member around the second body toward the first body to hold the first body in relative position to the second body.
SUTURE ANCHOR
The present application relates to the field of medical devices, and in particular to a suture anchor. A suture anchor includes an anchor head and an anchor body, wherein a threading hole is formed on the anchor head, the anchor body includes a side pressing portion integrally formed by a plurality of layers of round tables, and at least two opposite longitudinal cuts are formed on each round table of the side pressing portion; from a direction close to the anchor head to a direction away from the anchor head, positions of the longitudinal cuts on adjacent round tables are deflected toward a same side.
SEMI-RIGID DEVICE FOR ORTHOPEDIC FIXATION
A semi-rigid, fixation device includes a rigid anchor portion configured to be directly rotated and driven distally into a first bone or bone portion of a patient. The device includes a rigid cap portion configured to be held in tension against at least one of a bone plate and a second bone or bone portion of the patient and indirectly rotated under torque provided by the anchor portion. The device includes a flexible member including a plurality of woven stands and having a fixed length between first and second ends, which are fixedly respectively coupled to the anchor portion and cap portion, such that a torque provided by the direct rotation of the anchor portion is transferred through the flexible member to the cap portion when the flexible member is held in at least a first amount of longitudinal tension. Methods of use and manufacture are also provided.
Knotless suture anchor and deployment device
A deployment device, including a driver shaft; an implant attached to the distal end of the driver shaft; a handle assembly connected to the proximal end of the driver shaft including a handle and a knob positioned distally to the handle; a cleat configured to secure a proximal end of a suture received from the implant through an aperture of the driver shaft resulting in a first applied tension value when the implant is placed in a pilot hole, wherein each of the implant, proximal handle and cleat is connected to the driver shaft such that rotation of the proximal handle in a first direction results in the rotation of the implant in the first direction and the maintenance of at least 50% of the first applied tension value when the implant is rotated in the first direction and advanced in the distal direction within the pilot hole.
Method for knotless fixation of tissue
A swivel suture anchor for knotless fixation of tissue. The suture anchor includes an anchor tip configured to capture suture, the anchor tip being rotatably received within a fixation device upon advancement of the fixation device over a shaft of the anchor tip. The anchor tip is configured to receive a suture to be anchor in bone without requiring suture knots. The anchor tip can be a conical metal tip which is self-punching and avoids the need for pre-drilling a hole in bone. The anchor tip includes a closed aperture to allow free sliding of a suture strand. The suture is secured in a hole in bone by inserting the anchor tip into bone, and advancing a fenestrated fixation device, such as a cannulated interference screw, over a shaft of the anchor tip.
Suture anchor system with threaded plug
A suture anchor system including an anchor, a plug and an inserter. The anchor inserter includes a tubular outer shaft having a cannulation dimensioned to receive an inner shaft. The distal end of the outer shaft cannulation is threaded for engagement with the plug. The anchor includes a longitudinal cannulation formed within the anchor body, including a smooth-sided portion and a threaded portion. An eyelet, dimensioned to receive a suture therein, extends transverse to the longitudinal axis of the anchor and intersects the distal portion of the cannulation. The plug is a generally elongated, tubular threaded rod comprising a cannulation adapted to receive a distal end of the inner inserter shaft.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REATTACHING THE LABRUM TO THE ACETABULUM, INCLUDING THE PROVISION AND USE OF A NOVEL SUTURE ANCHOR SYSTEM
Apparatus for securing an object to bone, the apparatus comprising: an anchor assembly comprising an anchor and an actuation element extending from the anchor, wherein applying a force to the actuation element when the anchor is disposed in a hole formed in a bone secures the anchor to the bone; and an inserter for deploying the anchor assembly in a hole formed in a bone, the inserter comprising: a shaft for releasably engaging the anchor; and a force delivery mechanism mounted to the shaft and connected to the actuation element, the force delivery mechanism being constructed so as to receive an input force from an external source and to selectively apply an output force to the actuation element, with the force delivery mechanism being constructed so that the magnitude of the output force is limited regardless of the magnitude of the input force.
MEDIAL TWIST ANCHOR
Disclosed are devices, methods and/or systems for securing tissue to bone, including a suture anchor implant having a body with an internal cavity and one or more helical cutting flutes positioned on an external surface of the body which direct at least a portion of the cut bony material into the internal cavity as the body is rotated into bone.
Soft tissue repair device and associated methods
A fibrous tissue repair device includes first and second tubular anchors having corresponding longitudinal passages. The tissue repair device includes corresponding first and second inserters. Each inserter has a shaft with a distal portion received in the longitudinal passage of the corresponding tubular anchor. A flexible strand couples the first and second anchors.
CLEATING SYSTEM FOR A MEDICAL CANNULA
A suture cleating system for arthroscopic or endoscopic cannula to facilitate suture management while preserving seal functionality. The suture cleating system includes an end cap with an aperture extending therethrough and one or more cleats extending therefrom. A cannula body extends distally from the end cap. A seal is connected between the cannula body and the end cap. The seal has a seal slit extending therethrough and the seal slit is substantially aligned with the aperture of the end cap. In use, a suture extends through the cannula, the seal slit, and the aperture in the end cap. The suture can be tensioned from the aperture in the end cap and secured in a suture slot between two cleats.
